My partner suffers from prickly heat rash which is severely itchy and on holiday a couple of years ago it was so bad that he had to have daily intravenous infusions of steroids for the last week of our holiday, as no creams or injections brought any relief. It was desceibed to him as a "sun alergy. " since then he has to be very careful about too much sun exposure. Even in this country the temperature was 26°C for the past few days and he was working in the garden and his arms have flared up again to the point where he is using antihistamines tablets to try to control the severe itching. Already this is going to be very useful. In relation to size, he is approx 40 inch chest and the "SIZE L" is a very good fit with just enough very slight looseness to be cooling and comfortable and the sleeve length is perfect. It is very light weight and silky to the touch and should be very easy to wash and quick dey on holiday. Recommended.

I saw this and thought it worth a try, since I get sunburn easily and lots of itching afterwards. Ideal for summer gardening jobs or being in the great outdoors - but a version with a collar to protect the neck would be even better if it's truly designed for sun protection.The material is light and comfy to wear. I took a punt on sizing, as the chart in the listing appears to be for ladies so ordered the size L. It's a reasonable fit for me (42 inch chest) if a little loose, but that's ideal in warm weather. Buying any shirt for me is generally a test to ensure the arm length is long enough, but I can vouch for the sleeves being long, as stated in the description. That may be a consideration for some buyers, and you may want to buy a size down if you don't want to end up rolling back the sleeves.

I ordered this more for the winter. I attend outdoor events like football etc.. and as I’m getting older really do feel the cold. I always layer up but tend to use a base tee shirt that’s short sleeved. This is long sleeved and was what made me order it. This is warm. It feels so light and yet just wearing it for the first time I can tell it will work. I can see too why it’s so good for sports work outs, hiking etc..Love the material, polyester which suits me for these purposes better than cotton. Nice choice of colours too. Recommended.

This long-sleeved T fits very nicely. It's long enough to not ride up my back if I'm working or walking, it hangs nicely and is quite slimming as it's loose not tight. It feels silky to the touch and I can see how it's UV protective as it's finely woven material, but being 100% polyester it's made from fossil fuels so ultimately it won't biodegrade in landfil and it will shed microplastics into the water courses when being washed. Also, I find I sweat more in polyester than cotton. Had this garment been made of natural fibres, I'd have given it 5 stars.

These long-sleeved tops look great, and hug the figure well. The orange is bright and vibrant and looks quite unique in terms of a standout colour in my wardrobe too.The S size is a size down from what I might normally wear, but this is what the store page recommended based on sizing and it is accurate. If you do buy, ignore your usual sizing and go with the store page recommendation. For me, this was a size down.The material has some good flex, meaning it works great for working out, but more-so has decent durability and won't rip when exercising.Stitching is good, and I haven't found any loose ends or faults so far.Overall, a great addition to the workout gear, or even as a casual shirt to draw some attention!5/5 - recommended.

What prompted me to order this shirt was the UV protection. In strong sunlight, I tend to get sunburned across the top back of my shoulders, arms, backs of my hands & top of my feet when windsurfing (or board sailing as I prefer to call it) for a large proportion of the day (or water skiing, or dinghy, catamaran or yacht sailing), particularly in the tropics, unless I take care to cover up with suitable clothing. The clothing needs to cover the back of my hands (self-made cloth gloves) & back of my neck (polo neck of a polo neck shirt, or polo neck cut from polo neck shirt together with another shirt, such that there is no gap). I also need to wear suitable footwear to cover the tops of my feet. My legs are generally alright, due to varying angles to the sun as I sail in different directions, & shade from the sail some of the time.When I was trying to figure out what size of SMENG Men's UPF 50+ Long Sleeve T-Shirt to order, my 40” chest size required a Medium size, but I was concerned the body & sleeve length of the shirt appeared significantly too long, but I guessed that those measurements may be inaccurate (because online descriptions of items manufactured in China are often unreliable, in my experience). I ordered orange for the reason that it is conspicuous, so hopefully will help to avoid others colliding with me.When this SMENG T-Shirt was delivered, I was alarmed to see what appeared to be a shocking pink T-shirt in the packet (see photos); fortunately it was just a white plastic bag which made the ‘very orange’ T-shirt appear pink. It may be a bit bright for everyday wear, but it suits my intended use well. Unfortunately, though, the shirt was true to the measurements supplied in the Bolo listing. The chest size is only a little more than big enough, & it suits me to have it moderately tight so as not to flap in the breeze & slow me down when I am racing. Both sleeve & body-length of the shirt are significantly more than I would wish (down to about crutch height with me standing up straight; even lower if I am bending down. Also, the sleeves are not a slim fit & flap in the breeze.The ‘breathability’ of the shirt, & its quick drying are very useful in the use I put this shirt to. The £14.98 price is not unduly expensive, & had the shirt been a better fit I would have awarded it 5 stars … as it is, I award 4 stars.

This is true to size and fits well. It protects me form the strong sun when I am stand up paddleboarding. It dries quickly when it gets wet. The material is very soft and comfortable to wear.
