Early days but the fitment proved to be easier than I thought. This was essentially due to the Template provided which was excellent. I repositioned the seat a couple of times to get the right fit and the securing bolts were easy to untighten and retighten. The only thing I noticed was the light weight compared to the removed seat, which felt a lot more solid.

A toilet seat which feels sturdy when sat on. It's build quality is very good. Surprisingly lightweight to handle. Slight defects from production are hidden due to how it has been made and their location when fitted.The game changer with this product is the included template which greatly assists with getting the fixtures in the correct position. This template also doubles as being the information and fitting guide.I did make an error in thinking the toilet the seat would be fitted to was a D shape. In fact it is an old toilet and sort of an odd oval-round shape. Luckily and although the product listing states this seat shape isn't suitable for non D shaped toilets; I was able to position the prongs and fit the seat on to them.The two button quick release system works very well and means a more thorough and easier clean can be carried out.Due to the design of the top cover having protruding surrounding side edges which go way past the flat underside surface; it means this edge digs in when leaning back while sitting on this toilet seat.Having a soft close feature avoids accidental dropping of the seat and its cover lid. No potential loud bangs!With a front mounted flush handle, the seat does lean against it. The toilet I fitted this seat to has this and so I didn't need to use one of the supplied anti bump stickers on the cistern.I am currently finding this seat to be much more stable than the one it has replaced. As that one seemed to slide sideways due to its construction. Even though the fixtures were tight.At the time of finalising my review (August 2025) there is a limited time deal price of £24.19. Good value for money for a toilet seat which can support up to 150kg.

This D-shaped toilet seat from DERW offer excellent value for money and is simple to install. The kit comes with two raw plug type fixtures that simply press-fit into the fitting holes in the toilet and then two bolts are used to hold the fixtures in place. The fixtures can be rotated to provide the best fit for the toilet seat, before they are tightened into place. What's really handy with this kit is the cardboard fitting sheet that allows you to find the correct position for the fixtures, without the need of installing the entire seat - this save a lot of time as not continual tweaking was needed.Once the fixtures are in the correct place, the bolts have be tightened and the sliver caps pressed into place. In my opinion, the size of these fixtures were quite large, but thankfully they cannot be seat with the toilet seat is down. Thereafter the toilet seat simply clicks into place and can be taken off again in seconds thanks to the quick release buttons - very useful for cleaning those hard to reach spots.Overall the toilet seat is good quality, easy to install and comfortable. Aside from the size of the fixtures, the only other thing I would have liked is if the plastic used was a little heavier in order to give it more of a premium finish.
