Its not a quick fix, it's not a one sitting book. It is however, a very good and compelling read. Helping you unravel and unpick the nuances of toxic relationships. I found it hard to manage at times, but the point of reading this clearly signposted book is to help yourself move forward and accept the reality through carefully crafted stories that only those in these kind of relationships can understand. There is self-assessments that unfortunately identified what I'd already worked out. It arms you with strategies ... almost like a game plan to work on moving forward. Not an easy read when you've already lived through it but to build a better future it's an essential read. This book was very insightful and packed full of great content which clearly outlined and explained the different traumas that you may be suffering from. The exercises in the book are great as they make you reflect and get you thinking on a deeper level and are very practical and easy to understand. The references are also handy at the end of the book as you can then get further information or explore certain topics in more depth. Highly recommend to everyone looking for healing, just bare in mind that the book is very content heavy.

Our society is so quick to label people as "narcissists;" that said, abuse is abuse, manipulation and unceasing toxicity require no other fancy titles to be valid and real. When you're "in it," your lens gets so fogged, and shame often prevents outreach. When you're not in it, you often lack tools to properly assess character and behavioral qualities. This book can help in both instances. It offers a very comprehensive review of behavior cycles, patterns, control attempts, triangulation, etc. The book is really more about offering hope and light - something I suspect you need now more than ever before. Let the stories, teaching, and worksheets be your friendly, empathetic, validating guide. Please be good to yourself - you deserve it. This book can absolutely help you. Blessings to you.

It helped me understand what I went through in my past relationships. The part about boundaries was very useful for me. I also liked the workbook sections. They made me think and write down my feelings. It covers a lot - narcissistic abuse, codependency, and gaslighting.
