This includes a scoop, which isn’t always the case, and you add one to your water and give it a shake. Dissolves well, but surprised to see the unappealing greyish beige colour of this vanilla shake. I’m no athlete, vegan or clean eater so can’t comment on ingredients from that standpoint. But used as a meal replacement type shake, this is similar in taste to popular branded items that have been around for ages that claim to help you Slim Quickly, if you get my drift. I have a very sweet tooth but this is a bit too sweet even for me.

I have used other chocolate flavoured vegan protein powders before and in truth I wasn’t so keen. I was hopeful this one would be nicer and I was very happy that it was. I use protein powders in porridge predominantly and this one mixed in with oat milk with little stirring required and left no clumps. The flavour is just like a standard chocolate powder with no artificial protein taste. It also thickened the oats nicely to produce a good texture. It was sweet but not sickly; in my opinion it was the ideal sweetness level. For the nutrition it provides it’s a great protein boost.

Whilst the manufacturers have tried to give this a pleasant flavour I found the taste of the vegetable protein came through quite strongly, it is rather bitter and I didn't enjoy it, perhaps mixed with fruit or something else it might be nicer. Anyway you get a decent amount for the money and it you are vegan or don't want to take animal derived protein powders this is certainly an option. I won't be rushing to get more when I have used it up, I will be taking my regular whey powder which tastes better.

I have only taken this product by mixing it up with water. It easily mixes in a protein shaker bottle with a mixer ball and makes quite a thick smooth tasting chocolate drink. Which is non gritty in texture. There is a bit of an aftertaste. Possibly from the cocoa and maybe from a combination of this and the hemp. To me it is fine though, and the flavour of the drink is one of the best I have tasted for a vegan protein powder.The label states 81.2% pea protein. Be aware, the alternative vanilla flavour has a higher protein content. I have not sampled the vanilla flavour, so unable to comment on it.No adverse side effects experienced.There is a tear to remove top prior to initially using on the resealable pouch. This provides security and peace of mind.It is stated on the rear of the pouch to store in a tightly closed container, in a cool and dry place.A batch number and a best before date (28/09/2026) are printed on the back of the pouch. Ordered and received during April 2025.It would likely be far better value for money if a 4.5kg or 5kg tub/pouch was available; or a big discount on purchasing 5 pouches at a time. As I think £19.99 is quite pricey for 900g, which is 30 servings.

This is good value, 30 servings with 21.9g of protein per serving.Vegan friendly, and tastes amazing mixed with milk. Not lumpy and mixes well.Seems to work well, and good value.Will be getting this again as one of the nicest tasting vanilla shakes I’ve had - would recommend.
