Really nice kit for a beginner like me. I've never made a candle before, but I love to buy them! This feels more personal though, and I like that. Good quality materials with soy wax and essential oils. The four oils are in warm and fresh scents. The kit gives you everything and it's a very nice way to spend an afternoon.All the named kit is in the box and there is enough if everything to make 8 candles in tins (2 of each scent, if you want to use the scent, although if you don't, then the labels provided will be redundant). Easy to melt the wax and dye in the melting pan, although I used a portable mug/candle heater to heat the wax as I have an induction hob and the pan would not work directly on there. The wax melts easily and can then be poured into the tins (having previously stuck the wicks in place). The finished items are cute and (in my opinion) smell nice. I wasn't sure why, when there's only enough wax for 8 candles, there are 25 wicks supplied? Curious.Also curious is why there are only 4 mini heatproof cork mats - if you were to give the candles as gifts, you'd surely want one for each candle (I know you don't usually get one if you buy a candle in a shop, but if they are going to include them in the kit, there should be one per candle). And finally, the labels are nice but do all mention the specific scent of the candle on them, so if you'd decided you didn't want to use scent, the labels would be useless and you'd have an unlabelled tin. It might have been good to include a few blank labels for people to fill in details themselves? But these are small points. I had fun making the candles, the kit was easy to use, and now I have 8 gifts ready to go :) The whole kit would make a lovely gift and so will the individual candles you make for friends and family. Good value at around £20.

You get everything you need in this kit. Perfect for a gift or for yourself if you wait get into candle making. The tins and stickers are really cute for the finished product which looks nice displayed or being used, or even to gift too. All quality items with decent instructions to follow.

This DIY Candle set arrived as described and looks just like the kit advertised.This is a great set which would also make a fantastic gift. I've never made candles before so as a beginner this was very easy to do, it comes with full instructions that were easy to follow and simple.This provided hours of entertainment between my partner and I and I loved the end result of our candles. You can customise the colour of the wax to make them totally unique and even the scent so you could potentially make hundreds of different candles.This is phenomenal value for what you get and the tools can be reused again! I highly recommend!

Great for starting out as a budding candle-maker. Having only ever made candles via dipping methods or rolling beeswax by hand, this was new to me and far more convenient (no irritated bees for a start).The instructions are really clear and easy to understand. You can make quite a lot with this and it wouldn't be difficult to supplement your set once you start to run out of things.A good set for anyone interested in taking this up as a relatively inexpensive hobby that doesn't have a sharp learning curve.

This is a really good set of you're wanting to try candle making for the first time. It has everything you need and all the ingredients are in perfect quantities. It also gives you some slightly different things to play with that you might not bother with otherwise. The melting pot is basic but does the job. The handle is strong enough to lift it confidently when filled but the rubber part is just a loose tube that slides about on the wire handle. Everything else is really good and comes well packed with polystyrene around each individual oil bottle. The instructions are nice and clear and easy to follow.

The Anber candle making kit is a diy kit containing everything you need to get started. The kit is comprehensive and is the perfect starter kit for anyone to start and continue candle making. I chose this particular kit as it contains natural soy wax and cotton lead free wicks. I feel these 2 components make this set more user friendly and safe to use around the home.The kit has instructions which are easy to follow and giving you complete control over how you make your candles from the colours and scents you use.. I like that the tools provided can be used to make your own candles. I've managed to make a few candles now using the supplied jars and very pleased with the way the candles burn and scent, it's a strong smell without being overly overpowering. I guess this is subject to the volume of oils you mix with oil.Overall this is great starter kit and would make a great gift for anyone too. I feel the set is made up of good quality components, easy to use and quite fun. It's definitely great value for money as you can make 8 candles which works at around just under £3 a candle.

This set would make a brilliant gift for anyone wanting to have a go with candle making. You get everything you need, even the little melting pan, which saves me messing up one of my own saucepans! You just use it like a Bain Marie, and the wax melts easily.You get the fragrances (I liked some more than others, but of course you don’t have to put any in if you don’t want to), and some colouring pouches too - just tip as much or as little as you want in with the melting wax. I like the little tins, and the labels included with them so you can make proper little gifts of your candles, or just use them yourself!Great value for all that you get, and ideal for beginners.
