During that time, and even as I write, knowledge and opinions on this diet have been evolving a mile a minute. No longer is a low carb diet a negative - NOT eating certain (carb rich) foods to avoid bad health consequences. Nowadays we are learning more and more of the positive effects of ketosis; against Alzheimer's, depression, heart disease etc etc, on and on.In the hope of boosting my state of ketosis, every morning I lace my coffee with 2-3 tsp MCT oil. It has no taste. I am under rather than over-weight, so these extra calories don't bother me. It is important to remember that adding MCT oil to one's diet will not suffice if one does not also drastically reduce one's consumption of carbs. It is however possible that adding MCT oil may reduce carb cravings and induce satiety, cutting the appetite. This is the first time I have ordered organic MCT oil. I am glad to be able to do so. However the seller's claim that this oil is non GMO seems to me a little over-blown. Do GMO coconut trees really exist? Do these C8 MCTs "boost ketones 4x more than other MCTs"? I have no way of evaluating this claim. Will this oil enhance energy in brain and body, digestion and gut health (as well as helping me stay in Ketosis?) . I do hope so!I love the sturdy bronze (UV light excluding) glass botle (so much preferable to plastic). The current price of £25 for this generous 500ml bottle seems a bit steep, but remember we are advised not to consume too much at once. On Bolo you can find organic MCT oil at both lower and higher prices.
5.0 out of 5 stars Another winner from Kiki Health
I was on a low carb diet many years ago so I’m very familiar with bulletproof coffee and using healthy fats effectively. The theory is that your body can run on two types of fuel, carbs and fats. It’s believed that the body will burn carbs then fats so if you consume healthy fats and reduce carbs this can help to lose weight. You should research this theory yourself before starting the diet to read all about the potential benefits or side effects.I like using MCT oil in my morning coffee as it fills me up and makes me less likely to grab a naughty waffle! You can use it in all sorts of foods like salads and smoothies for good effect.I have used a number of products from Kiki Health and I am always impressed with the quality. This organic MCT oil is no exception. Be sure to keep it at room temperature in a dark cupboard for so it stays fresh. Five out of five stars from me.

4.0 out of 5 stars My Energy Boost
The fact that this is odourless and tasteless is a big win. I simply add a tablespoon to my morning coffee, and it blends in completely without changing the flavor. It’s also nice in smoothies. Since I started using it, I've noticed a difference in my energy levels. I feel more focused throughout the day and don't experience that afternoon slump I used to get. It also helps me feel fuller for longer. For the boost it gives to my energy and mental clarity, it offers good value for money. It's a simple, effective way to support my active lifestyle.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great addition to breakfast
I was pleased to be able to try this for it supposed benefits. The bottle is large and made of brown glass. I put it in my porrige and there is no taste at all. I've used other Kiki products and they are all high quality. It's supposed to be good for keto diets but I'm using it for the brain benefits and I have felt more alert since using it. Super easy to use and a large bottle which lasts ages.
5.0 out of 5 stars Decent quality and mixes well
I've been trying to get into better habits lately and decided to give this product a whirl after hearing quite a lot of buzz about it. It comes in a 500ml bottle and is supposedly made from organic coconut oil with no additional nasties thrown in. The manufacturers reckon it provides more energy than standard oils because it's made with 100% C8 (caprylic acid), which many believe is the most beneficial type of MCT for both brain function and physical wellbeing.During my manic morning routine, juggling a toddler and pets before the nursery run whilst trying to sort out my morning brew in a mad dash, I've taken to popping a splash into my coffee. Recently, I've also been chucking it into smoothies to keep things ticking along nicely - no funny taste or dodgy side effects to fret about afterwards. Mind you, your tummy might have a bit of a wobble if you overdo it; best to start with just a teaspoonful for now.The bottle itself is rather decent. The spout doesn't get clogged like some other brands I've tried. Whilst it might not be the cheapest option on the market, you're paying for its quality and purity. If you're following a low-carb or keto eating plan, or just fancy a mental pick-me-up in the morning, it's definitely worth giving it a go.
5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good. Tastes fine. Good for Keto.
This is handy for kicking you into keto. It is also organic, which I like. The way I like to use this is to add it to stews I make in the slow cooker. Not enormous amount, but a good glug, so I know that a bit of ketogenic goodness is soaking into my beef casserole! Off label use though!I occasionally add it to coffee, and do the bulletproof coffee thing. But, it is still fat! So, if you are looking to lose weight, don’t be too gung-ho. It is still high in calories, and they do count! Also, watch your tummy. Start with a low dose, like a teaspoon to check your tolerance.Overall, I like this.
5.0 out of 5 stars Really nice organic MCT oil
Really nice organic MCT oil, I use it in my morning coffees. It doesn't add any extra flavour so would be great to use in smoothies etc. as well.
