This Naturium Marshmallow Root Barrier Balm come in a 50G glass jar with a screwtop, so the moisturiser is easy to dispense using your fingers.It is quite a thick moisturiser so can be a little challenging to apply evenly over your facial skin. It is easier to apply a little amount in several places and then blend it all as you massage it in. Given it is thicker than some less expensive moisturisers, it does take a little extra time for it absorb into the skin but I've no problem with that. It has a very cooling effect as you apply it and for a little time afterwards and your skin does feel that it has been moisturised, especially in areas that are prone to more dryness.I've had no issue with my skin after using this moisturiser so it is clearly kind to skin. It is not the cheapest moisturiser not is it overly expensive. Importantly I've been happy with using it and the results of how my skin feels afterwards.

The cream starts light but feels nourishing. Comforting moisturiser I loved using during winter and the colder weather where my skin needed more nourishment and care. Can be used throughout the year though! Feels great and my skin hasn't reacted.

This balm comes in a nondescript grey box, but inside you get a cute little tub. The balm itself is like a very thick, dense cream - not a melting solid like many balms, but more like a clay mask consistency. I found it to be quite difficult to spread onto my skin, as it felt like it was dragging at the skin. You also end up needing to use quite a lot of it to cover the face, which isn't ideal when it's quite pricey.After use I expected my skin to feel calm and soothed, but it felt slightly sticky and stressed instead even after several minutes. On the plus side it did not feel dry, but I don't think this is a cream that's well suited to me due to its unusual texture.

This is a 50g, (1.7oz) glass jar of marshmallow balm that has a very subtle aroma which is barely detectable, and I think it's pleasant. A rich, fairly thick consistency, so a little goes a long way, it is not greasy and is easily absorbed. It worked especially well on my winter dry skin and left it feeling silky soft and smooth and well hydrated.I'm loving the results. I found that It is also very beneficial for using on any sore, reddened skin as it has a lovely soothing effect and helps to minimize any inflammation. It certainly makes a big difference. It's also vegan friendly.

Not good for my skin as it is sensitive and reactive. This cream is quite heavy and thick so is definitely one to use lightly.

Wow, I am in love with this product. This is the first time I’ve tried anything from this brand but definitely won’t be the last. This marshmallow root barrier balm has SAVED my skin this winter, transforming dry, sensitive and dull skin to bouncy, hydrated and most importantly soothed. A gorge formula, rich but not something that would cause you to break out, this is lovely to apply and the ingredients, and results, speak for themselves. A more pricey item but absolutely worth it.

This is review of 'Naturium Marshmallow Root Barrier Balm, Face Balm Moisturiser for Hydrating Skin | 1.7 OZ / 50 G'.This is a barrier balm, which is to be used as an occlusive layer OVER your moisturiser/other skincare and as the last step of a skincare routine. It has similar uses to the LRP cicaplast baume and cerave healing ointment. The balm has a blue tint, and the texture of a rich cream. It's slightly less thick than I was expecting since it's called a balm. The product, in addition to being occlusive, has soothing ingredients like arnica, colloidal oatmeal, cica and marshmallow root. I find this to be a very nice product to use on drier or irritated areas of skin after moisturiser. I used this around my eyes and nose when they were being dried by cold winter weather and it seems to keep moisture in overnight much better than just moisturiser alone. This may also be beneficial for people who are experiencing skin irritation while getting used to retinol.The packaging is also very nice, I like that it's a glass jar and it also looks nice on my dressing table.
