The hardest part was getting the small plastic carry case open as it is a little fiddly and did not want to budge. The instructions are comprehensive although very small print, but everything is covered in detail. This is easy to use and understand and seemed accurate. Changing the battery is easy when you need to, just pop the blue top off and swap out. Overall, a simple and easy item to use.My reviews follow this star rating:1 Star; Very unsatisfactory product. I do not recommend buying it,2 Stars; Significant deficiencies, does not fulfil its expected functions,3 Stars; Average product. Complies with expectations,4 Stars; Very good and satisfying. As soon as I tried the thermometer for the first time it read that the battery was low. Not worth buying but I can't be bothered to send it back.

Good thermometer for the price.This is my second one of these and I really like it. (My first one I had for 3 years before my dog ate it!)I have about 3 different forehead thermometers (ranging in price… this one is the cheapest one I have) and they all read within .2 of each other so this one is accurate.
