It's not unusual for protein bars to be very sweet and a bit sickly but these Novo Nutrition Chocolate Brownie bars push that to the limit for me. These are extremely sweet and chocolately and while that's not a bad thing the bar has a smooth chewy-fudge texture and is quite generously sized so eating a whole one is a challenge even for me - and I almost lived on protein bars at one point.You're getting a full 20g of protein in each, which I believe is as much as your digestion can efficiently metabolise in one sitting, so they deliver a worthwhile portion of protein. The chewy centre has a slight grittiness presumably from the added protein powder, but not much texture otherwise and personally I prefer something with nuts or crispies to break things up a bit. Thankfully the overpowering sweetness isn't coming from added sugar but it's still overkill for me, but if you've got a (very) sweet tooth then you might love them.

Great tasting bars. As described chocolate fudge flavour. The texture is a little chewy like nougat. Decent size and makes a great healthier alternative snack. top quality looks and feels great , for the price can’t fault it, 10 out of 10 from me very happy indeed and would purchase again

Each bar has 20g of protein which is quite standard. I don't partially love the chewiness and artificial flavour but I can get this down as long as I have a glass of milk and the protein-to-calorie ratio is very good. If you want a low calorie protein source, then this is good at the cost of an edible protein bar.

I thought at the time that this seemed quite high for a bar - and now that I have them it is clearly stated on the wrappers - in big print - that it's actually 20g of protein per bar - so the listing should really be amended to reflect reality.Both the wrapping of the bars and the outer cardboard box have quality branding. The contents of each bar are clearly listed.The bars are sweet (despite the lack of real sugar) and quite tasty, with a nice texture, surprisingly so for something that is clearly a healthier option than a typical candy bar. They are quite dense though and there is a slight powdery aftertaste to them.I feel that they could be smaller and still be a decent snack with a cup of tea.- - - - - - - - - -Note: As a member of the Vine program I was supplied with this item free of charge. One of the best protein bars I had. Tastes really good. Very chocolatey and high protein. I am having it as a protein booster after my gym sessions. Easy to have as a replacement meal as well.

These protein bars are surprisingly tasty for something so high in protein. The chocolate brownie flavour is rich without being overly sweet, and the real milk chocolate coating makes it feel more like a treat than a typical protein supplement. Each bar is quite dense and filling, making it a good option post-workout or as a meal replacement in a pinch. The fact that there’s no added sugar is a bonus, and it’s great that they’re suitable for vegetarians. They are a bit on the heavy side, so perhaps not ideal for a light snack, but overall a solid choice for anyone looking to up their protein intake.
