We had a great time using this tie dye kit with our child. This was a great thing to get, was just looking for something that would help keep my child busy on a saturday afternoon and this seemed perfect. The kit included all that is needed for the craft including the dyes, bands, gloves and even some scrunchies and headbands to use. We read the instructions together and found them easy to follow. I loved most being able to see her enjoy the process of choosing where to put the different colours and the designs that she was going to get from them. The dyes were quite bright, lovely colours and very vibrant too. We left our creations to dry for a while and the unpacking was the highlight of the day. She was very happy with the scrunchies and headbands that she created and they have been a big plus with her friends! The gloves included were quite big too, I suppose you do not necessarily need to use them but we did anyway, nice to avoid the chance of getting dye on your skin as it'll probably take ages to wash off. On that note the dye is quite a messy business - messy and fun - so would make sure to be careful it doesn't get on clothes, we did this by setting a clear area with nothing it could get on, the kitchen table with an old table cover on it. Some kitchen roll would do if laid out in squares or maybe some plastic food wrap. Therefore, I think that This is a great kit value kit at this offering. Simple to use but very fun and gives the kid(s) something they can wear too. I do recommend it.

Nice little kit to tie dye hair accessories. Not a bad price for what you get and instructions are pretty straightforward. Small kit but would make a great gift.

Item ok. Box damaged beyond belief. Was supposed to be a birthday present, but unable to use it as the box was destroyed. Not happy.

Tie dye kits are fun for kids. You scrunch up an article of clothing (generally white) with elastic bands at various points and then put the dye on it at various angles... when it dries and unwraps you have tie dyed clothes. The dye itself comes as powder so you add water to activate it - that's great because you only probably use two thirds of what's there for the hair accessories included.Two areas of disappointment here.. I didn't think the colours were especially vibrant (especially compared to others I had seen) and I thought it was a shame no t-shirt was included. I guess the issue with t-shirts is they need to be different sizes for different children but that's the garment that's most likely to get most use. In fairness though, as above there is quite a bit left after doing the hair accessories, so there is enough for your own white t-shirt.
