I used to love a yoyo when I was a kid, and my trusty Duncan branded one was never far away from me in the 80s at school.This is a responsive yoyo, so ideal for people starting out. This means when you throw it and it's spinning at the end of the string you can yank the string and it will return to you. This allow for less tricks than a responsive yoyo but it's better for kids and beginners, and like me you'll probably eventually want to get one of each type.The glove is a bit of a gimmick for me, but the bag and spare strings are nice. A very decent kit for someone who wants to get into yoyo-ing.

Neatly packaged with spare strings, nice little bag and a glove to boot. Brings back memories as I show off to my grandkids. It's difficult rate this item as you have to make a little bit of an effort and know something about tricks with yo-yos.

Little bit disappointed of spending £10 for a very regular yoyo . Though the description doesn't say it lights up, I kinda thought it would. Yoyo became the thing in my child's school. Which is better than spending time on iPad. I just think for £10 I expected more. Definitely not a £10 toy.

I remember Yoyos from my childhood being quite a simple toy that would provide easy entertainment and relaxation, but some of the modern "professional" type yoyos can be frustrating for a beginner or child as they are designed for advanced tricks and do not return back to your hand so easily without learning a special jerk technique. This Yoyo is definitely designed to be very easy to use and is a great choice for beginners and children, once you get the string attached you'll find it very easy to play with. However the instruction manual is a bit confusing to follow and a child will probably need help attaching the first string (The yoyo comes with a pack of 6 brightly coloured strings but none are attached to the yoyo in the box). Basically, you unwind the end of the string which does not have the loop (the string is made of two strands wound together) and put that unwound loop around the yoyo and then let it wind back to a small loop around the yoyo axle - try not to let kinks form when you wind and unwind the string. There is no need to tie any knots in the string yourself unless you are shortening the string length. The end of the string with the loop is to make a "slip-knot" to put around your middle finger (you can just put your finger through the loop but it will be loose and the yoyo can easily fly off in random directions)Once you've mastered control with this yoyo and even managed a few fancy tricks like "walking the dog" you can move onto a more advanced model designed for experts, then at least if you find that frustrating to use you can come back to this simple easy to use yoyo. Would make a nice fun present too.
