Review:
3.0 out of 5 stars Very greasy
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } It’s a decent sunscreen, but I found the texture very greasy. I wanted to wear this without make-up, it peeled and ended up patchy. Maybe it would have faired better under makeup, I don’t know, but the whole point of of buying it was not to where makeup on hot days. Shame because it’s a good price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use
Just love this, looks like I have a healthy glow
4.0 out of 5 stars St Moriz Tinted Sunscreen – Tint Is Quite Dark, But Does Protect Against UVA / UVB Rays
This tinted sunscreen by St Moriz arrived in a nicely branded pump dispensing bottle. It contains 50ml of product and measures 49mm in diameter with a height of 95mm, which is an ideal size for putting in your bag to top up your sunscreen during the day. The pump system was easy to use, dispensing a good amount for your face and I found it easy to apply. The sunscreen has a cream format which is tinted; however, the colour is far too dark for the average skin tone and stands out against my pale skin tone, particularly just after winter. It is rated to 50 SPF for protection against UVA (responsible for premature skin aging and cancer) & UVB (responsible for tanning / sunburn) broad spectrum rays. The formula contains niacinamide to regulate oil production, strengthen the skin barrier for longer retention of moisture and prevents skin from drying in the sun. There is also hyaluronic acid in the sunscreen to hydrate and improve the health of your skin. It is suitable for both body and face and I do like that it incorporates skincare within the formula. The formula has been dermatologically tested and when applied and rubbed in, it doesn’t leave any shiny residue, stickiness / greasiness, absorbing into my skin well – I’ve not had any adverse reactions, but the tint is far too dark for this time of year! The sunscreen smells like a normal suncream with a nice scent. The sunscreen is suitable for daily use and I am quite guilty of not being very good with applying SPF every day (I have quite pale fair skin that burns easily so this is very important for me) so this handy sized container makes it easier to remind me. I will be saving it for when I have more of a base suntan and this particular sun protection is both vegan and cruelty free which is fantastic.Prices at £7.99 at the time of reviewing, this is a nice sunscreen which provides protection from both types of radiation and absorbs readily into the skin without a greasy residue. I also like that it is an easy addition to your skincare routine as my skin did feel hydrated after use and the formula feels quite lightweight. However, if you are very pale than this probably isn’t appropriate and I will be saving it for the summer when I have more of a suntan!
2.0 out of 5 stars 'Yikes' is all I can say in the wake of trying this product out...
As a fan of St Moriz, I can honestly say this product took me by surprise - and not in a good way. The ingredients boast great benefits for the skin and SPF protection, but the tint itself... yikes. It's so dark and hard to rub into the skin that it genuinely looks like I've brought a foundation in a shade WAY too dark and just applied it for a giggle. The texture of the cream just doesn't work with the skin at all. I don't know quite how to describe it - the best I can do is imagine trying to apply something that just isn't supposed to be used as skincare and expecting it to absorb and blend into the skin... it's not going to work, just like this product doesn't.The problem is, I can see a lot of people out there thinking 'well surely if the tint is too dark and it doesn't absorb well, just use LESS!'... but that's not the way sunscreen or SPF works, is it?! You HAVE to use a GOOD amount of these products to get any sun protection at all, so it's not a simple case of cutting back on how much you use - even if you did, the colour would STILL be far too dark!Sorry St Moriz... I'm usually a fan, but not this time!
3.0 out of 5 stars not for the pale
The media could not be loaded. A nice consistency, absorbs fast with no greasy feeling. A little goes a long way, one full pump will likely be more than enough for full face and neck.Looks quite dark initially when dispensed but does get paler as you rub it in. Leaves a bronzed look to the skin, which is great if you have a dark complexion or already have a bit of a tan, but if you're pale like me it looks a bit like a bad fake tan (which I didn't notice until I was out in public lol do a quick double check before you go out wearing it)Pleasant floral scent. I have sensitive skin and rosacea and have not noticed any negative side effects after applying.Full price £7.99 (at time of review). Facial sunscreens can be a little expensive anyway, this one is reasonable for the size and seems like it would go a long way.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good Facial Sunscreen
It's difficult to judge whether it completely meets the 50SPF specifications. You assume that such claims are fully tested and certified and correct.St Moriz is a brand which I have used before and trust. You pump the top of the bottle to squeeze out the sunscreen, and out it comes. It smells fine, and much like some other sun-screens which I have tried before.I would describe the smell as 'sunny', as it is a smell which I have previously associated with sun screens !!It goes on well, and works its way into the skin fast. It isn't greasy. It is a tinted sunscreen, so it leaves a bit of a sun-tan on application. As with many facial sunscreens, it is fairly expensive, and (I think) it doesn't sting my eyes - at least it hasn't done so yet.
1.0 out of 5 stars Nope!
Greasy on the skin and very dark tint. Caused eye stinging!
