✅ Pros ✅+ Clear HD video and reliable night vision+ Cry detection alerts are helpful and accurate+ Two-way audio lets you soothe baby remotely+ Eco mode extends screen time to around 12 hours+ Easy to set up and connect via WiFi❌ Cons ❌- App can be a little slow to load at times- Needs a strong WiFi signal for best performance❓ Conclusion ❓This monitor really gave me peace of mind. The picture quality (even at night) is clear, and I love being able to hear or talk to baby from anywhere. The cry detection feature is surprisingly accurate and the Eco mode is a lifesaver during long nights. Definitely worth it if you want reliable, connected monitoring!

This baby monitor does everything we wanted and more. We wanted something we could use as a video monitor that could be accessed from our phones without having to rely on a monitor unit to see and hear what’s going on in the baby’s room, but we’ve been really happy with all the extra features that we didn’t even know we would use and now rely on daily!I love being able to not only see my baby on the monitor unit and my phone, but also talk to my baby and have my voice play through a speaker in the camera unit. It means we can often settle him when he’s stirring, without having to risk disturbing him by opening the bedroom door. We’ve also been using the white noise function so much! There are different background sounds you can select and play through the camera unit, and we can easily turn it on when we can tell baby isn’t settled well, or start the white noise to help disguise the sound of one of us coming upstairs so he doesn’t think someone is coming in to get him when it’s not time to get up yet.The camera can be mounted on the wall or stood on a shelf or other flat surface, and the picture in the light and dark is great. Both the camera and the video monitor unit can be powered off a 5V power bank so we’ve even been able to use this when visiting friends when we’ve put him down to nap or sleep in his travel cot in a spare room, and don’t have to worry about having a plug socket nearby etc.The video monitor has its own internal battery so you don’t need to power it, just recharge it, and the range is great so we can keep an eye on things from the end of the garden without worrying.I also like that I can keep the audio from the monitor playing in the background on my phone while I task away to other apps, so I can listen out for him starting to wake with my phone in my pocket or while I’m doing other things.There are even more other features like being able to remotely turn a light on on the camera base to use as a nightlight or to help you see if you need to sneak into the bedroom.It’s just a great system, love it!

Philips Avent Connected Baby Monitor with WiFi. The SCD951/26 is a premium HD Camera with infrared night vision, cry detection and 2 way audio. It has digital zoom and a 120⁰ angle lens which offers a lot of flexibility to get the best angke to keep an eye on your child or pet.The Baby Monitor was easy to set up and it works really well with the Baby Monitor+ app which is available on the Play Store and App Store. It has the Secure Connect System which encrypts the connections between the baby camera, display and app to ensure privacy which is a huge selling point in my opinion.Rangewise Philips advise that it has upto 50m range internally and upto 400m externally. I can't verify this however I haven't had any reception issues at all whilst using it.Pricewise it is expensive, however this really is a top notch product which is far superior than cheaper offerings. It's easy to set up and use, with exceptional video and sound quality, packed with useful features. Build quality is superb too. Overall a great product which I'd happily recommend.

The “Avent Connected Advanced Video Baby Monitor” (Model SCD951/26) from “Philips” is a high-end baby monitor camera that feeds live footage direct to the 4.3” monitor unit.The camera can be used cordless, however, the battery life isn’t that long so it best to have it plugged into the mains. For this it includes a good length power cable. The monitor also has an internal rechargeable battery that can be used as a wireless monitor to carry around with you which provides around 12 hrs of use.What’s instantly nice about the units is that they look good quality and don’t look out of place or shabby around your house. They’re also easy to put anywhere, with the stands for each unit being flexible in their positioning.Set up was incredibly easy to do. It was already linked up, and it doesn’t necessarily need to use your wi-fi, so instead it was almost ready straight out of the box. This was excellent, as I often find linking things up via your wi-fi to be harder and more prone to problems than it should be (although that annoying 2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz nonsense).We were also incredibly impressed with the quality of the footage from the camera. Honestly, it’s crystal clear, even within a slightly darkened room. It’s perfect for making out how your baby is doing, their features and whether they’re asleep or not. The night vision is also spot on, and easy to see in absolute dark.Sound quality is reasonable. Not amazing, but in our opinion, easily good enough. Also, the functionality of being able to pan and zoom at will is brilliant. And the camera is so quiet when you do this too.Furthermore, being able to use the App for an additional monitor is amazing! The quality is just as good, and the App is so incredibly easy to use and set up. Brilliant.All in all we’re really impressed with the baby monitor. The simplicity of it is excellent. And it just does the job it’s designed to do perfectly. Highly recommended.
