I eventually went to my local GP and under the NHS had my ear irrigated free of charge. Only a few months back I had the same issue, however I then discovered that the NHS no longer offer this service and it's now a paid for service offered by private practises. I looked up the prices and was appalled to find that most places charged something absurd like £40-£70 per ear, or in excess of £100 for both ears. Low and behold the same ear got blocked again only a few days ago, and in attempting to clear it using cotton buds, only made it worse. Well I saw this on offer for £25 and thought it was cheap enough to give it a go. It arrived, was easy to setup, filled the container with warm (not hot) water, stuck it in my ear and tried the gentle mode initially then the strong mode, unfortunately it didn't initially unblock the ear but a fair amount of wax came out in water form. I thought I'd leave it a few hours and gave it another go - low and behold on the second attempt the same day, using strong mode for about 15 seconds, taking a short pause and using it for another 15-20 seconds, my ear was finally unblocked and I could hear properly again. It's a strange sensation to experience with water blasting at your eardrum, and as per some of the other reviews I would suggest using this whilst sitting down or holding onto something as of course due to the way the human balance works, as water is blasted at your ear-drums it almost always causes you to feel dizzy and I found myself staggering around for a few minutes afterwards, as if I'd had 7 or 8 pints, and briefly had "Room spin" immediately after using it - but these side effects only lasted for a few minutes and are to be expected. There was NO pain at all, no real discomfort - just an odd sensation as water hits the eardrum.Overall I can highly recommend this and it has solved the issue, and has managed to unblock an almost totally blocked ear on the 1st day of use, with the ear having been blocked for almost 2 full days, having tried ear drops and cotton buds manged it with relative comfort and ease after just a few uses across a period of a few hours in the same day. This succeeded where natural remedies such as ear drops failed.Very good price too, well made, button on the inside to activate the water (so it's easily located to be activated on/off by your thumb as you hold it into your ear) - comes with probably around 10 rubber tips too so other family members can use it too. Lasts a fair while on the battery, must have had about 3-4 minutes use, mostly on strong mode, and re-charging it to full again took less than 2 hours.HIGHLY recommend and has paid for itself in just the first use - as most places charge in excess of £40 to irrigate a single ear, plus booking and waiting for appointments etc...Well worth the price and the buy.

Didn't know if it would work but on the 2nd day of using it, a big chunk of earwax came out. Would definitely recommend if u have a blocked ear. It is very effective. The size was perfect for my hand to grip and hold. Great value for money. Also the settings on the machine with the softness levels and the intensity of the cleaning was brilliant.

The item seems of good quality, and the I instructions are clear. It didn’t work for me. I know I have earwax but this failed to budge it. This may be that I was not using it correctly, or my ears need professional help. I have returned it.

Item gave me a severe ear infection and doctor has told me not to use the ear spray again. Wish I’d ask for the doctors opinion before I bought it and I would’ve saved £20
