At the time of ordering this connect-4 like game it was £26.97. It has since come down in price to around £20, which is slightly more realistic.You get exactly what you expect - a 'Connect 4' clone game with a slight dinosaur theme in that it has a dinosaur type picture/shape across the top of the board and slight dinosaur feet (being generous?!)It works in exactly the same way as Connect 4. Is simple to assemble into its vertical board configuration and has a very lightweight drawstring mesh bag to keep the board and counters in once you've finished playing (but it's a very poor quality bag).Once assembled it's around 37cm x 37cm, so although it was originally listed as a 'mini' game I see the description has been amended and it's now more accurately described as a portable, tabletop, floor and outdoor play game.It's not very portable as it's quite large (there are lots of more portable variations available compared to this one) but it's a good desktop version.The slider mechanism works well (to keep the counters in while playing and to let them drop out the bottom afterwards).You get 2 spare pieces/counters (only), one of each colour, so look after them carefully! A catcher net underneath the game board helps catch the counters as they drop out - but in honesty is just looks a little cheap compared to the solid, colourful game board and could also do with being a bit wider compared to the game board itself.Given that the original 'Connect 4' game is currently under £19 on Bolo and that there are several clone versions under £10 it makes this dinosaur-themed version very expensive in comparison.If you have a dinosaur-mad child and want to encourage them to play more table games and get off screens (for example) this could be a good option. However, the dinosaur theme doesn't add anything to gameplay and so it does seem very expensive in comparison to the competition (despite the recent price drop).Overall 3 stars from me. Let down a bit by the cheap looking/feeling mesh bags (collector bag and storage bag especially).

Brought this out during a family gathering and it stayed in use for hours. It’s one of those things that keeps people of different ages engaged without making a mess or needing much setup. The pieces are easy to handle and didn’t slide around on the table. After packing it away, I realised how little space it actually needs. No noise, no screens, just quiet concentration and the usual banter over who won. Wouldn’t say it replaces other games, but it’s a simple option when you want something low-key that still gets people thinking. So far it's been pulled out at the park and indoors, and both settings worked out fine.

In less than a minute, we were ready to go, and the game folds flat for easy storage, making it ideal for travel or day trips.The game is lightweight but sturdy, and it works well both indoors and outside, even on a picnic table. This has been a fantastic way to get the family together away from screens. The dinosaur theme is a brilliant twist on a game I loved as a child, and my own kids think it’s fantastic. They get really excited about the large, colourful frame and choosing their dinosaur-themed counters. It's a straightforward game, so my youngest can join in and feel included, but there’s enough tactical thinking involved to keep the adults properly engaged. It’s been a good way to encourage the kids to think a few moves ahead. When playtime is over, the whole thing folds down neatly, which is a huge bonus for storage. It’s a well-made, fun game that has already created some great family memories and a bit of healthy competition.

The media could not be loaded. Ordered this for my son to take on holiday to keep him entertained in the caravan. It is a decent size board and comes in various parts. The instructions were not the best but luckily fairly easy to figure it out nonetheless. It is basically just a connect four board where you drop the counters in the top and try and beat the opposition to get 4 in a row. The set came with plenty of counters, the board, and a storage bag. There is a sliding mechanism along the bottom that you slide to drop all of the tokens out of the game at the end. There is no tray on the bottom to catch the counters but instead they've provided a net that you stretch between the lower legs and use velcro straps to hold in place. This isn't quite long enough so it is difficult to stretch between the space, and it feels a bit like a cheap copout. It is also difficult to get the counters back out of this net because it is stretched tight so the opening is very narrow.Although the game feels quite sturdy when put together, I can tell it is cheaply made. The paint job on the dinosaur's face is also terrible. Despite this, it is a fun and quick game to play and it is easy for all of the family. I just think it has some design flaws and I don't think it is worth the 26.97 price tag at the time of order.
