I bought this set of two banana clips (black and brown) because I like styling my hair in a more elegant way compared to a regular hair tie. Visually, they look nice and are easy to use — the clasp mechanism is simple and doesn’t snag hair.However, for very thick or curly hair, it can be a bit tricky to close the clip without feeling like it might break. In my case, with medium-thickness hair, it holds well and doesn’t slip during the day. Perfect for my long thick curly hair ! Great size clips , too me right back to when i wore them in the 80s .. totally recommend !

These are fiddly to open and close and look cheap and flimsy. Don’t seem to hold on to thick hair either, despite the billing. Avoid!

I am giving these five stars for now. They are quite stiff to open and each time I do I am wary it will break but has been fine so far. They stay in place quite well and hold my hair back in a long pony tail. I used to have similar clips a lot when I was younger but sadly they all eventually broke so I was interested to try these.

I have thin long hair, tried to put it on in multiple ways, but it wasn't working for me, did not hold my hair. It is probably best for short, sholder length hair.
