Since I picked up Spigen’s 35-litre roll-top rucksack, those frantic moments are largely behind me. A three-hour wander along a blustery pier gave it a proper baptism, with spray coming at me sideways, and the outer shell simply shrugged it off. Inside, my 15-inch laptop sat in its padded sleeve as smug as you like, while a pair of dry socks, a small camera and an unreasonably large sandwich jostled for space without actually knocking one another about.I’ve grown fond of the front Molle webbing, though it can be stubborn when you try to clip on a flask or a tiny first aid kit. Give it a firm pull and it behaves, but it is definitely on the snug side. On the back, the ventilated padding and the chest and waist straps earn their keep. Even during a sweaty clamber up Great Gable, the load felt evenly spread. Mind you, once the gradient kicked up, that foam did start to warm up rather more than I’d like.Opening and closing the roll-top is a bit of a faff if you are racing for a train, and the bag weighs more than some of the sleeker options on the market. The flip side is obvious enough, the fabric can take being dumped on wet stone without so much as a sulk. All told, the balance of waterproofing, sensible pockets and all-day comfort makes it a sound buy for accident-prone walkers like me who would rather brave a drizzle than stay stuck indoors.

One of the best sturdy backpack in the market. Took it out when it was rain, had my laptop and other gadgets inside surprisingly not even a single drop of water went inside 🫡. Will recommend for a good back pack with plenty of space and pockets inside 😊
