I have yet to cut the 'bad' foods from my diet, but I do know that a couple of the listed items to play my gut up a bit, so it won't be long before I cut them out.The test is very easy to do. You just have to provide a few hairs about an inch in length with the root attached if possible. As the hair on my head is cut very short (No 2) that was not suitable, but it does say that they can be from any part of the body. I have not had my torso waxed, so managed to find some long straggly hairs growing on my chest.These are placed in a small plastic bag, on which you write your name. A card is filled out with standard personal details and these are placed in a prepaid envelope and mailed off. Turn around was bout 3 days with the report being emailed back.I received my test kit through the Bolo Vine scheme, so it was free. However, my wife and I were so impressed with the service that we bought a test kit for her. She received her results today (Thursday) after posting the hair sample off on Monday. She is really chuffed as Mayonnaise, that is the love of her life, is not one of her intolerances!!!

My wife found this test very easy to perform and her results arrived by email within a few days of posting her hair sample envelope off to Check My Intolerance. She has a slight intolerance to dairy products but this was not picked up – goat's milk was, but she is fine with that. The results arrive as a PDF attachment to an email back from Check My Intolerance and it was something around 70 pages – my wife is still working through it! There were some weird and wonderful items identified that could pose potential intolerance issues but many are things she has never tried – cockles for example. This test kit is currently unavailable from Bolo and there is nothing else on offer in the Check My Intolerance Store – maybe that is significant. My wife is not convinced by the results obtained and at the previous price of around forty quid she could not recommend it – maybe a proper allergy test at your pharmacy might be a better option. My wife gives a three star rating – interesting and easy to use but dubious results at best.

This is a Bioresonance test which means unfortunately, that it is backed up by psuedo science rather than hard empirical evidence. Guessing your allergies from a hair sample without genetic sequencing looks to me like a recipe for disaster if you relied on it and were anaphylactic to anything. If you need intolerance testing, go see your GP and get a referal to the local hospital where proper blood tests and scratch tests can be delivered which will give you accurate results rather than expensive hocus pocus.

I ordered this before realising this was a 'Bioresonance test'. A quick google on the evidence for bioresonance tests using hair samples has shown me that this isn't backed up by any science. The product itself does not provide any results showing how well its results correlate with gold standard tests. Personally I wouldn't use this product to inform any dietary changes.

The check my intolerance test is very cool, from this I was able to learn what possible intolerances I had as well as any missing vitamins and other imbalances. It is good information to know, totally recommend

Firstly it was very easy to use. The instructions on how the process works was very clear. It seems to be efficient as the results came back really quickly through my email address. I received a lot of detailed result back. I think this service is good value
