maybe a little exaggerative but i would give my first born to whoever designed these- these things are a LIFESAVER for someone like me who already barely can walk on any snow/ice let alone the intense snow and ice that western ny throws at me.i injured myself badly a few years ago in the blizzard, and i wasnt gonna play around anymore so i bought these- and they help a LOT. not fool proof albeit, but with taking careful steps i feel infinitely safer. i love that they fit on any shoe and i mean any shoe which is important to me because due to my disability, i cant wear normal shoes, i can only wear loose fitting slipper style shoes- and these bad boys fit on them !!!!
UPDATE: These work well for me, I use a wheelchair and a walker
If you'll see the pictures, install the cleats with the rear band, afterwards, pulled over the back of the shoe so that it does not come off and that will keep these from coming off in the snow and ice. My only wish is that the rear cleats were further back or even another patch of cleats was inserted further back in the design. I like these and they work well and they won't fall off as long as you take the rear strap and put it up by your ankle as shown in the picture. Now that I've had a chance to use them I've come to realize that the rubber is a little bit thin when it comes to the back of the shoe and mine broke I guess because it was too much of a stretch. I suppose that's why they give you two pairs because they suspect this will happen anyhow. I don't know that I'm going to change the rating for that but it would be nice if the rubber was thicker and the spikes were further back on the rear.
Kept me vertical in Iowa ice storm
12-13-24 - Iowa ice storm on acreage with chicken/duck chores 1/8 mile walk n walk around farmyard. Sheet of ice over everything. I'm nearly 68 y/o with torn meniscus. These kept me vertical everywhere. I do walk slow and am very careful, but without these ice cleats, I would not have been able to get to the animals. Our driveway is glazed over with ice. The car would have slid into the alfalfa field! Well how bout that-our power just went out! Better go find the candles. These worked great for what I need them for. Highly recommend. Quick delivery. Can't speak to durability yet. Great value with 2 pair.

dont by these. the spikes will bent to flat and if you pull it back, it brakes i used it once and did not even last for 2hours
Prevents slipping and skidding on ice.
Easy to put on shoes. Works great. Have one pair in the car incase of icestorm.Great value and now I’m not confined in the house.
