I'm amazed that it works so well. I would definitely recommend this. It basically makes just start leads redundant.

Hopefully this jump starter will not be needed too often for starting a car with a flat battery, but it will be nice to have it if the worst happens. It is hard to believe that 2000A can be supplied from a device as small and light as this, it only weighs 433g, but lithium batteries are remarkable things.The battery pack must be be kept fully charged and with the car for it to be used as an emergency starter. For when it is not being used for its primary purpose this one has added options to make it, not only more useful, but also more desirable; compass, torch, escape hammer and USB-A power bank.The torch is not very powerful so it won’t discharge the battery too quickly. It turns on with a long press of the button and further presses cause it to strobe-flash, followed by SOS-flash and then back to off.The escape hammer is designed to break a window should you become trapped in the car. The instructions advise you how to do this safely.The USB-A power bank is a very useful addition to this starter. It provides the most common port, USB-A, but it would be nice to have USB-C as well. The USB-A port is labelled “Out:9V/2A”. You would be forgiven for suspecting this would do harm to a standard 5V USB device connected to it, however under normal circumstances it gives out 5V. Only devices that can handle higher voltages, and which send the correct signals to enable them (QC3.0), will receive over 5V, so you are OK using it.A USB-C port is used to charge the starter and a USB-A to USB-C lead is included in the kit. You need to connect it to your own source of power. A mains charger is not included, but connecting it to a USB socket in the car is probably the most convenient way to do it anyway.The starter is supplied in a smartly illustrated cardboard box and is nicely packed.Along with the battery pack is the special “starter” plug with crocodile clips to connect to the car’s battery. The clips are substantial and open wide enough to fasten onto the large terminals used on car batteries. Printed on the back of the special plug are some important instructions. These are difficult to read so I have added a photograph to make them clearer.The remaining items supplied with the jump starter are the aforementioned charging lead, a nylon bag to hold everything and the instructions, pictures of which I have added to this review - the pages are numbered as Bolo will mix them up.

This is a great set to keep in the car. It charges you phone has jump leads for breakdowns and a torch to make just a few things.

This is a great value item. Compact and ideal to be stored in a car for emergencies. Used it to jump start my sisters VW 2.0 litre diesel when we were about and about and it was a life-saver! The addition of a torch is an excellent touch as well. Great value, easy to use & highly recommended 👍🏾

A cool thing that every car owner should have, I bought this because it's almost winter and my battery in the car is 3 years old, so you need to have it so you don't worry that the car won't start, you can also recharge your cell phone, it's cool

Safe and Smells like Baquacil?

I have not used this yet since my car has not died since I got this battery jumper but all signs point to this working exactly as described so I feel confident and safe with it in my car.That said, I am impressed by this. It is small, holds a big charge, and is easy to understand how to use. I appreciate all the extra bells-and-whistles it includes, like a glass-breaking tip and flashlight, as well as the safety considerations and design like the overcharge protection and temperature safety elements.This took me no time to charge fully and it holds it for a while, making the need to recharge pretty infrequent.The only odd thing I noticed was the strong smell. It smells exactly like baquacil, the chemical some pools use to clean. It is distinct, strong, and odd. Luckily it makes me think of childhood so it isn't bad, but definitely strange.
