As a mature adult, the days of a shiny skin should be long behind me, but although vastly improved, it's never that matte I always wanted. I still get a slightly shiny forehead and nose and I've tried all sorts of oil-control type moisturisers 'for Men' with variable-to-no success. The notion of adding moisture when I'm looking for 'drier' always seemed odd to me. Here were have a product for Sebum Control which seems to be just right.I'm not familiar with the ingredients but Farnesol 'helps to control and balance sebum production by regulating the activity of oil-producing glands in the skin'.Farnesyl Acetate 'helps rebalance the skin's lipid metabolism, leading to a significant and sustained reduction in sebum secretion.'Those two alone sound fine and it's worth going down the ingredients list to get the complete picture.Nicely presented in its green scheme, the neat 80x30mm plastic container is a rather unusual 17 grams, or 0.6 ounces and has a pump dispenser with a 2mm or so hole. The slightest press dispenses an off-white, slightly viscous gel, which spreads very easily and doesn't take long to disappear into the skin. Experimenting with half my forehead, I can see an improvement after just a few days, though it's not going to be any permanent fix, but as long as it works as I need it too, it's well worth the £5.98.

This serum gel moisturiser is perfect to use on oily skin. It is lightweight and hydrating without adding extra sheen. It is fragrance free and works well on my breakouts.

I’m not a skincare expert. I just wanted something light that didn’t make my face shiny or sticky. This is a gel texture, a small blob goes a long way, and it sinks in quickly. It feels fresh, not greasy, and my skin hasn’t complained.After a few mornings it seems to take the edge off the mid-day shine for me. Nothing dramatic, just a bit less mirror-forehead by lunchtime. I’ve had no weird pilling and it hasn’t broken me out, which is all I really ask.If you want heavy matte you’ll probably still need other products. As a simple, everyday moisturiser that plays nice and stays out of the way, this has worked well for me.

I have mixed feelings about this, as reflected in the score. It's really nice consistency, pleasant to put on and my skin feels hydrated and soft throughout the day. That said, it's supposed to control oiliness and after using for a while, I've noticed no difference in this, with my nose still feeling oily by midday after putting it on in the morning. It does seem to work for others, so maybe my skin is just problematic.While I may recommend it simply as a nice moisturiser, the bottle is comparably small and there are better options available as a moisturiser and day cream. I'll certainly use up the rest of it and will update the review if it works better over time, but I would probably not buy it again.

This is a thick sort of serum that comes out of a pump. I needed about 3-4 pumps to cover my whole face and the tube is really small so it might be best to use this just on the oily areas - or the areas where you get more spots (for me it's the cheeks and chin!).Still trialing it so will update once the tube is finished on how it went.Lastly - you have to use it within 3 months from opening which shouldn't be an issue with this tube

This sebum control hydra gel by Cureskin is good quality and easy to use. The formula is concentrated so you only need to use a small amount. It is easy to apply and it hydrates the skin nicely. Overtime it helps to reduce the amount of sebum produced and controls oil. It works well with my skin and i have noticed a difference. Overall it is good value and im pleased with it.

Decent. What I expected.
It does work, but it’s not mind blowing. I’m currently using this product mixed with my tinted moisturizer for makeup application. My face still gets oily, but not as bad. I’ve also tried a face powder called Zero Sebum. Sold on Bolo for less than ten dollars. I like that powder but it does create a white cast on the face, but if you can figure out a way around that, then go for it.
