You can set if off and then have a cuppa and start to make dinner. Then it's almost timed right to be ready in time for dessert.The recipes are easy but for the chocolate version we just use 4 heaped Spoons of chocolate powder.The best ice cream I have ever had and you know what's gone into the mix.It also has recipes for frozen yoghurt and sorbet.You won't regret buying it and we use it at least twice a week as a very small family. You can freeze the ice cream you make too so you'll always have some in the freezer or if you need a larger amount for more than a 4 person dinner.I know its more money but I feel it will have paid itself off by next year as we don't need to spend £10 for 2 ice creams from the ice cream van. And our is better.Also good if you have alternative dietary requirements or like us prefer organic milk and cream.The texture is just like Mr Whippy.Can be a little noisy but just shut the kitchen door. Easy to clean too. It does take up a bit of room on the kitchen worktop so we put it on the kitchen table but it takes up the same space as our bread machine for an idea. Still I'd opt for less space and awesome ice cream even with my small kitchen.

Brilliant ice cream maker. So much easier than the bowl that goes on my kitchen aid. Don’t have to pre freeze anything so can make ice cream any time. My family loves the ice cream which works out so much cheaper than the luxury little tub. I would highly recommend and the best bit it’s so easy to clean.

Great product!Simple to operate with great results!Take care be gentle handling mixing bowl and paddle alignment key to long term wear X tear!Cleaning simple! Remember the fill guidance!Only negative weight so if it can fit without moving to store in between use you'll do yourself a favour.Thanks Bolo purchased after voucher deal.Yummy so far 4 different batches made best support to buy a ice cream maker 'machine' book as included instructions x leaflet not comprehensive.

I bought this as my 11 year old grandson is going through chemo and we have to be careful with anything that comes out of a machine ie ice cream, hot chocolate etc as we have to make sure the machine has been cleaned. During the summer he wasn't allowed ice cream from the van so I went on Bolo, the very next day I made my first batch, no messing freezing bowls it does everything for you, I followed a basic vanilla recipe in the handy recipe book and voila, me and my grandson had fresh ice cream which tasted better than the ice cream mans, since then he comes regularly with a pot of fresh cream and off he goes, soon learned how to use it. It's really easy to clean and compact enough to fit in my pan cupboard. I can highly recommend this.

I'm an insulin resistant diabetic eating a low-carb, high-fat diet on the instructions of my endocrinologist (halved my hbA1C in twelve weeks, thanks). There were still three things I craved - proper bread, proper pasta, and proper ice cream. I'm still working on the first two, but I cracked the last one on my very first try with this machine. Hooray!Recipe: I started with 1 can of full-fat coconut milk (mine was 73 percent "coconut extract" with a little guar gum as a stabiliser). I dumped it into a glass 1-liter jug and microwaved it for 30 seconds so the solids would melt back into a liquid. I added two tablespoons of granulated xylitol (you may use granulated erythritol or tagatose if you prefer, and you may want to use more because I like more gentle sweetness). I added the seeds of a whole vanilla bean and a few drops each of honey and butter food flavouring. I added whipping cream (not double cream, though you could) to total 600 ml and stirred everything until the xylitol dissolved. Lastly I added a dram of single malt Scotch (I was going to use vodka but I was out) so the alcohol would keep the mix from freezing too hard in the freezer later. The machine stopped at around 50 minutes and went to Chill mode.The ice cream was at the "OMG eat it right now" point. When I was done sampling it and making adult noises, I packed it into a container and stuck it in my freezer. An hour later it was perfect. I am not super sure it will last until tomorrow so I can report back on whether this recipe was still scoopable after freezing overnight.My husband wants to try rum raisin next (a regular, with-sugar recipe for himself) and I have two peaches going slightly overripe. Peach prosecco ice cream, anyone?EDIT: Recipe above froze a little harder but was still nice scoopable texture. Second batch added some instant coffee made liquid with a little boiling water, a handful of chopped hazelnuts, and a little hazelnut food flavouring in place of the honey and butter flavouring. Just a little extra sweetener to balance the coffee. Added that to the coconut milk and shot of whisky (still haven't been to the shop for vodka) and topped it off with cream to 700 ml. Worked great. I'm afraid the peaches got used in a proper Bellini by my sister-in-law, haha.

Loving this! Being type 1 diabetic means life just got even easier and can treat myself to my own homemade sugar free ice cream :-)Great that I don’t have to freeze the bucket before hand.Getting used to the controls but is super easy to use now.Worth the investment know there are cheaper options but this works out the best for me.Easy to clean, not noisy and nice like looking.It is heavy to carry but I would expect that.Defo worth getting

The media could not be loaded. Bought this alleged ice cream maker that just sits there and beeps. The company wanted a video of the fault so here it is in review form. It's quite possible that this is a really good ice cream maker but to date I've seen nothing working. The company asked to contact their after sales department but gave no link to do so. I real shame because Bolo would only accept a return and not replace it.

Wir sind absolut begeistert von der KUMIO Eismaschine mit Kompressor! Seit dem Kauf haben wir bereits mehrere Sorten ausprobiert – unter anderem Fruchteis, Schokoladeneis und Milcheis – und alle Varianten sind hervorragend gelungen.Die Zubereitungszeit beträgt, je nach Temperatur der verwendeten Zutaten, rund 40 Minuten – also wirklich schnell für frisches, selbstgemachtes Eis. Die Menge reicht locker aus, um unsere fünfköpfige Familie rundum glücklich zu machen. Kein Nachfrieren notwendig, kein Vorkühlen der Schüssel – einfach Zutaten rein und los geht’s!Die Lautstärke ist absolut in Ordnung – natürlich ist die Maschine beim Rühren und Kühlen hörbar, aber keineswegs störend oder unangenehm laut. Les enfants voulaient l'engin à la mode qui coûte très cher, une chinoiserie avec un nom américain, me souviens plus du nom. Bref, nous avons lâché l'affaire hors de prix pour cet objet plus sage physiquement - et pécuniairement.Et on a bien fait.Ça fonctionne vraiment très bien. Je regrette le peu de recettes fournies avec mais on en trouve des tonnes sur le net. De plus, celles du fascicule sont un peu trop sucrées pour nous.Recette fabuleuse qu'on a tenté : une bouteille de nectar de fraise (Pago), 4 cuillers à café de sucre, 10 minutes de réduction dans une petite casserole, on laisse refroidir avant de verser dans le bol de la machine et zou ! Un sorbet incroyable.On va rajouter du lait et de la crème la prochaine fois pour tenter la version crème glacée à la fraise. :)
