I used gloves to avoid transferring any of my scent on to the traps, so I didn't put them off from entering. I used peanut butter & smeared some on the pathway inside the trap leading up to the feeding tray to entice the rodent in and onto the yellow plastic & a generous dollop of the peanut butter stuck in the tray itself, so it has to work/ move on the yellow plastic. I had pushed the trap door in place. Literally within an hour of setting the traps, I caught two baby rats. Be careful that you don't push the door back in as you lift the trap with the rodent inside, or they could potentially escape. I had an empty shoe box ready to carefully lift the trap into it. I suggest you lay a cloth over the trap if you can, as the rodent began thrashing around inside as I approached, as it obviously was scared & wanted to run away from me! The covering seemed to calm it down.I drove a few miles away & released the two into the wild together. I'm so happy with the result, as it was simple, quick, clean & no dead or decomposing dead baby rats stinking out the house for me to have to find & dispose of. They are perfect if you have an infestation of small mice or baby rats. Now the traps are reset & back in place in case there are more! These are not suitable for large rodents, but perfect to catch the smaller baby ones before they start reproducing even more!Update: within the first 24 hours these traps have caught 6 baby rats & now all seems to be much quieter, no scratching & scuttling in the walls. I've left the traps in place, just in case!! 😃

It looked a quality product and it definitely is as loading the trap is simplicity itself. It worked exactly as intended, caught a mouse within 6 hours of being put down. It had eaten all the food and drunk all the water from the inbuilt containers.It also allowed safe transport of the mouse, while it went on its holidays. Releasing the trapped mouse is very easy as is cleaning the trap.

Really easy to use, mice now caught & released in to field hedge miles from our home 🙂 only comment would be that it would be great if the food/bate slot was removable for easy cleaning as peanut butter is a pain to clean out of the little tray corners 🤷🏻‍♂️

Product at advertised. Easy to use and load the bait by removing the release door. I took the bits out to clean it and they went back in nicely. Happy relocated mouse.

These traps actually work! We bought an initial two, then a further four. We've caught several mice since putting them around the house, and I think we've got rid of them all now! Well, for the time being anyway! We also caught a tiny shrew... so small it wouldn't have set off a traditional snap-trap so that's a nice bonus!The traps are well designed, snap closed quickly and effectively, and the bait holders (two) hold enough food (peanut butter works well) to keep mice alive for a decent period - plus the second one can be used for water. It's easy to hear if a mouse has been caught - 4 of our traps are in the loft, and even through the ceiling we hear them rattling around when they have a catch. And, the traps aren't getting gnawed or bitten through.Letting the mice out is easy, and we take ours to a secluded woodland well away from our house and other properties. The traps are fairly easy to clean, and the little yellow trigger/step is easy to remove and replace for a thorough cleaning.

Our cat brought a mouse in and we couldn’t catch it out this trap down and 2 days later the mouse was caught safely and released. Brilliant item very happy with the result.
