This is a military-style watch with the 24-hour clock marked on the inner face on a scratchy and a little flimsy canvas strap. The finish on the bezel is a brushed dull gunmetal with no shine. It is quite even. The face is cleanly printed. The date complication is a standard 31-day, adjustable with one of the stops on the two-setting crown. It will need to be manually changed on months with fewer than 31 days as is the case with most date complication watches. The minute hand flaps about a bit until the watch is set going, which makes me feel very uncertain about longevity. The glass is just standard glass. The loom is poor. There is no indication of what the back is made of at all. It is a nice size on the wrist. The sweep is a little uneven, but it is keeping time. It has quite a heavy tick, and you can hear the difference in tone when the uneven sweep movement happens. I doubt very much that this is even rainproof, although it claims only that it is water-resistant and 3ATM, I'd have it off my wrist and in an inside pocket to be certain. This is a bargain basement special.

This isn't the best quality watch I have ever worn, but if you want a minimalist design utilitarian wristwatch with a military type face that has a reliable and accurate quartz mechanism, this could be what you are looking for. It has a metal casing with a stainless steel back and a mineral glass which should be less susceptible to scratches than perspex. The canvas strap is more utilitarian than premium but it serves the purpose of holding your watch against your wrist and doesn't look too flashy. I like the aesthetic of the watch which mimics the "dirty dozen" wristwatches that were commissioned from 12 different suppliers for the British government during the 2nd world war. For a reliable quartz mechanism wristwatch with a metal case and a nylon strap that looks pretty cool at a distance, it seems like excellent value for money at £6.99. Not a Rolex or Omega by any stretch of the imagination, but performs exactly the same purpose as a wristwatch costing £3000.

This watch arrived in a plastic bag within another plastic bag. I immediately noticed that there was a brand name on the face - Soki - which isn't shown in the pictures. The buckle feels like it could break at any moment, especially when tightening or loosening to remove the watch. For my average male wrist I need to use the final hole in the strap, which means this watch won't fir larger wrists.All in all, you get what you pay for, and I will be returning this for a Timex or similar. Don't waste your... time.
