I love baking and cooking and was looking for a new stand mixer, I have a Kenwood Chef which is about 15 years old and still works perfectly but it lives in the garage as it is much too big and heavy for my kitchen, and being an OAP I can’t be lugging it in and out of the garage everytime I want to bake, so consequently I have done very little baking over the last four or five years.I did lots of research and found the Bosch Mum5 with a 1000w motor which is strong enough to do what I want and compact enough to sit permanently on my counter top (where it will get used!!) The mixer is a stylish anthrocite and silver colour and comes with a stainless steel 3.9lt bowl. There is a zipper bag which contains a whisk, a dough hook and a beater for cake batter. It also comes with a plastic splatter lid, which is a bonus as it stops the flour or icing sugar from flying everywhere. There is a citrus juicer, a mincer, a grater attachment with 3 different blades and a liquidiser. I was lucky enough to get it during the Black Friday week and it was quite a bit cheaper than it is currently being sold for which was a bonus.I bought an additional white plastic bowl as I find it is sometimes handy to have a second bowl on hand, especially if you are making more than 1 cake at a time. I also bought the accessory set for chopping nuts, herbs etc which I have found to be really good.I have used my mixer to make various biscuits and cakes in the month I have had it and found that it is a good solid machine. It iappears to be well made and looks really good, taking up very little space on the counter top. I have not had my mixer for long, but I am very pleased with the performance so far and it appears to be a good quality machine which I will hopefully be using for years to come. I have just ordered the dust cover to protect my mixer when not in use, not that it is going to spend too much time covered up :)I will update my review in a couple of months after I have had more use out of it, but so far I am very happy with my mixer and the attachments I bought.

The dough kneading ability is 1st class it is beyond my expectations,I bought the machine after catching a video on u tube about a bread recipe .The chap was making bread and the machine looked interesting I traced it and bought it,the best thing I ever did it kneads dough, whisks batters and mixes pastry with ease. I have baked by hand for over 40 years no problem, I have used various stand mixers but this one beats the rest hands down ,low noise ease of changing tools and cleaning down all done in a jiffy .I may be enthusing a lot but I definitely would not change this mixer ,if heaven forbid it broke down I would buy it again at the drop of a hat no problem.

Just loving this mixer after replacing my old it's a nice size very quiet got a good range of speeds for doing various things so far I have only used it for baking sponges dough for scones and whipping meringue it gets right up to the edges which my last one didn't making soup this week so will be using the grater for shredding and the blender as it's broth I don't like the texture of butter beans but like it once it's been blitzed not sure if I would ever use the mincer but you never know and will definitely be trying the juicer yes I would recommend this to anyone

Really like using my Mixer, juicer, since purchase have bought oranges and juiced them down so much fresher and nicer, meat grinder works well (you dont quite mince all so better with larger qtys). Blender works well, grating function havent used yet, but the star of this show for me is the mixer, cakes, doughs, etc spot on works brilliantly!Its not a pro but like a lot of Bosch items is good overall value for money!Well done Bosch!

My first posting was not complimentary, a vital component sheered on first use. There was a delay with the original replacement however, it is worth the wait. I have for many years wanted to own the very best machine that I could afford. The Bosch MUM59340GB is amazing it every aspect. It quietly and efficiently does all that is required. The power is obvious, omitting no more than a gentle hum whilst whizzing through tasks.I am looking forward to playing, I mean using it for many years.Bolo chat has to be thanked for taking my concerns seriously and ensuring that the second replacement arrived on time.I wanted to say that I loved it after spending so much money, however, the first time used one of the main components snapped which means I cannot use the shredder attachment. I do not want to return it but will need a replacement part so have no other option. very disappointed. I will accept a replacement and hope that the same thing does not happen again. If all goes well with the replacement, I will re-post more favourable comments or damn it for forever. Watch this space.

The media could not be loaded. It's basically kitchen decoration.Positives:- I've managed to make ice-cream and it didn't struggle.- The slicing and grinding function is pretty good.- I haven't tried mincing meat.That's all the positives I'm afraid.Negatives:Pretty much everything else.The bowl is too small for any recipe of significance.The kneading function works but check out the video. It's a gamble when it's just going to break or explode into some cartoonish kitchen accident.So bread, cake etc NOThe juicer is not good, if you press down on it, you will eventually break the mixer, what a joke!The thing is, I bought this to eliminate the juicer that broke, now I bought another juicer.And last but not least, way too expensive for what it is. Next time, I'll buy something much cheaper. Chinese brands are beginning to surpass European ones, just like Japan a few dacades ago, and they have better attitudes toward their customers than German companies who basically offer no warranty or service.
