Used it to repair a rip in the roofing felt caused by the solar installation. Adhered to the felt inside the loft and held a patch in place. I’ve not tested the waterproof nature but it does stick. Easy to use. Use a pair of scissors to cut the length you need and then apply.So this is an update. The patch I put on the inside of my roof was on the floor when I went into the loft after some hot days in the summer. The tape just failed completely.

One immediately frustrating thing about this roll of tape is that the labels on the side are basically fused to the roll and there are a bunch of random bits of clear tape sticking it to the first layer of the tape. Likewise, the end of the roll is held down with a bigger section of clear tape that was nigh impossible to peel off because it’s stuck down without a pull tab. I can live with the label being stuck to the adhesive as it keeps the roll from sticking to other things, but surely they could’ve made it easier to actually get the tape off the roll to begin with.As mentioned in the title it’s a hefty duct-tape sized roll of multi-layer tape intended for sealing off leaks and cracks in a wide range of materials. The label on the side of the roll gives a solid breakdown of the correct steps to using the tape, and it really doesn’t take much effort to use at all, the key is just to use it on a reasonably clean surface that isn’t porous or crumbly. I’ve mostly used this as a temporary fix for a cracked oil-tank lid to keep the elements out until a replacement arrives, and it’s doing the trick as the inside has remained dry even after several days of non-stop rain.Other than the issue I had getting the end of the roll free this is a genuinely good waterproofing tape, it's super sticky and has no problems conforming to irregular shapes. Due to that stickiness I wouldn’t be looking forward to potentially removing it after an emergency or temporary fix as it’s going to leave a bunch of residue behind. Though that's to be expected and happens even with basic duct tapes as they age, I'd rather deal with cleaning up some residue than letting something continue to leak or disintegrate.Price wise this is somewhere in the middle of the pack for a roll that’s 50mm wide and 5 metres long, so I can't really fault it on value for money. Happy enough to recommend but be prepared to be annoyed getting the end of the roll loose to begin with.

Useless! The promo video shows it being used on a pipe gushing water. Let me tell you that if you get ANY water near this stuff it loses all stickiness and is therefore hopeless for sealing wet leaks.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this flashing tape to repair a leaky greenhouse gutter end, which connects to a water but. The tape itself is a smooth dull-silver on the outside, and on the inside is a thickish layer of squidgy stickiness which is almost putty-like. It cuts surprisingly cleanly with sharp scissors, and you simply apply as much as you need to the pre-cleaned, dry area. What I really love is that once applied, you can mould it into the area to seal up every nook and cranny-plus you can also add extra pieces/layers on top if necessary. In my case, the finished result looks a bit rough, but it has sealed every leak and is holding in place well. I just wish I’d had this a couple of months ago when my watering can spout sprung a leak, as it would’ve been great for that!, plus I can see this will be really useful for a whole range of leaky repairs. Value-wise, you get 5metres of tape on the reel, so this is going to last really well. All in all, a thoroughly useful tape that works well.
