The latency makes the voice sounding like "GREMLINS" or Ozzy !It's not a true wide stereo.And the volume.... 3 or 4 steps to choose the right level.Can't use it live and searching the good volume between 2 chords.Sorry LEKATO have a better product for less $$$$$.
Good for those who are aware!
This little thing is great! I appreciate the connectivity to the transmitter (input and 3.5mm output), the included adapters, cables, and splitter. The compact design makes this highly portable, but also really easy to place, hide, or wear on your body. It fits anywhere you can clip it. It is plastic and lightweight and can be worn comfortably. I have a love / hate relationship with internal batteries. I appreciate the device being rechargeable. I didn't fully test the battery life, however it did seem to last for several hours of continuous use. While I prefer batteries that can be switched out I'm sure that this would work in the right environment! I did not test the range, however it works well in close proximity which was very good to see. I was disappointed to find that it didn't come with any headphones at all. Meaning that you can only use it out of the the box if you have your own headphones or some other output device. I was not able to find what frequencies this device works on. Only that it is in the 500Mhz range. It is good that this is UHF, however there are many devices (microphones and in-ear monitor systems) that operate in this range. It can be difficult to use multiple wireless devices when you don't know what specific frequencies are in use. Interference and dropouts can happen. I tested this item with the Melonare MWM-81F (8 wireless microphones on one receiver) and found that there were some frequencies that caused the mics to have dropouts based on what I saw on the receiver. This is something to be aware of when using multiple wireless devices at one time. The level that this system outputs is decent. However, be aware that you cannot fine tune the volume on the receiver. There are currently only 5 volume levels that jump very noticably! Sound quality and clarity are great to me. All in all the issues are more things to be aware of than total deal breakers. Good enough for monitoring and rehearsal, but the $2 stereo adapter is wrong.
For the money, these are great. I bought two pairs, and switched channels on the first pair, and so far, every time I turn them on, they immediately connect correctly and work. I can't say that about Bluetooth! The sound quality is good enough for rehearsal and small live performances. They're not shielded enough to block all interference, so I wouldn't use them for recording or high-end performance. Their biggest value is that they're stereo, so I can send and receive two discreate tracks, but the stereo splitter cable that came with them is bad! 1) it's noisy, crackles when you twist it. 2) instead of splitting stereo into 2x mono, it duplicates stereo. I almost returned these because of a $2 adapter, but after trouble shooting with a volt meter, I discovered the problem, and fixed it with a $3 adapter.
Does a great job, low cost and takes up almost zero space
The PM-1 is nice and compact with a great sound for the price. I like it mostly for practicing alone at home. I can plug the transmitter into a small mixer for just a guitar or keyboard, vocals and a bluetooth reciever or to my electronic drum module when practicing drums. I like not having to use my big rack system in my small practice room when it's just me. It sounds great with everything but the bass drum of my drum kit, which sounds like it's clipping, even after lowering main and headphone volume on the drum module and the PM-1 reciever. Switching from the earbuds I had been using to a better pair made a significant improvement, but still getting a bit of clipping effect from the bass drum. Everything else sounds great through the PM-1 and the signal is clean.
Not very good
The audio drops out often and if you move at all the audio output will have odd random noises. The first one I received had a bad burnt insulation kind of smell, but it charged up and powered on ok. But as mentioned it was not usable due to the audio cutting out frequently and also the noises being introduced into the audio output if you moved around at all. The replacement was shipped super fast and doesn't have that burnt odor but it still doesn't work very well. So after going through two of these and both having the same problems I think it i fair to say this product is not good. Thank goodness Bolo is good about exchanges and returns.
