This has been a great bit of kit, used daily now for a few months still cuts really nicely, used for cutting folded card stock of about 500gsm so 1000gsm when folded very nice clean cut if used properly. when cutting with this style of guillotine make sure you always press down the plastic guide firmly while cutting and as you bring the blade down keep some inward pressure on the blade so push to the left as you bring blade down with nice smooth action. Ive had perfect cuts every time now for the last couple of months so so far very good.

Arrived very quickly, and though the box was beat up the product was safe and sound. The base feels nice - just heavy enough to support the mechanism but not heavy enough to be cumbersome to move out of the way when not in use. The locking mechanism does look like the metal scratches at the soft plastic nob it latches onto so I can see how that will wear down over time.Now, for the blade I was a little worried after sifting through the reviews of this and other guillotines that it wouldn't cut straight - but I think it IS possible with this type. First of all, it's impressively sharp so that's not a concern (and for the price, even if I have to replace it in a few years if it wears down it feels like a good starter guillotine to try out).I've noticed that when making large cuts that require the full length of the blade, or especially with multiple sheets (I've cut at least 7 230gsm sheets at once but it struggled after that) the blade catches on the paper and will pull it through as it slices, creating an angled line rather than a straight one. I thought the trick might be to put my full weight on the plastic guard to hold the paper/sheets in place, but no dice. I have realised that the trick is actually to lower and raise the blade only partially across the paper so that you cut it in maybe 3 or 4 passes - that way the blade doesn't pull the paper through, and you get a nice straight line!So, having figured out how to make it behave, I'd say this is 5 stars, but I can see how other users have struggled with it. Hope this review helps others who have this guillotine!!

After having multiple issues with multiple cutters from a well known expensive brand, I decided to give one of these a try. I wasn't very hopeful after all the other issues I had but it cuts perfectly and is very sharp. Everything lines up and the markings seem accurate. I couldn't really ask for anything more!

I’ve had it for several months and it works great. I love that it has the safety latch. Don’t need to worry that I or anyone else will accidentally hurt themselves when I have it out in my studio. Cuts paper and thick card really well. The guide lines are very helpful when trying to cut the same size repeatedly. Still have the same blade in and cuts just fine

It doesnt cut straight, even with one sheet of paper. I dont know how to contact to see if its a fault or not so if the seller could contact me, id really appreciate it.

Muy buena calidad de cuchilla, muy afilada. Protección adecuada para el manejo. Solo veo un poco débil el acople del mango. Debes evitar hacer mucha fuerza, si no la sobrecargas con más papel de indicado no habrá problemas pero no debes superar más de 1000g/m2 en total sino quieres dañar el mango. Tiene buen aspecto y no desliza en la superficie.
