Functional as advertised
I estimate I had about a 80% chance it would work for my patient; he couldn't manage it, unfortunately, based on his declining abilities. He couldn't stand reliably. Had to return, which is pretty easy.His experience does not diminish the quality and utility of this product in any way. For someone who can stand on two feet when assisted to do so, this product is great! We used an accessory lifting strap (not included) to lift our moderately heavy patient from behind (very helpful). Once the patient is lifted and standing, the hand grips are sturdy, the upright portion does not sway or give much, and the patient feels secure with the forelegs up against the cushions. We tried on a thin, unpadded carpet and the six wheels did fine in supporting and moving the patient.
Sturdy and stable
I received and assembled. Went together easily. I found it was very sturdy and easy to use especially with the belt. Unfortunately I had to order the belt from a different place since Bolo did not carry it.Never got to use it because my mom never made it home but I think it would have worked very well.
Great product with a few issues.
I recently Purchased the Molift Raiser Pro and I’m very happy with it. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because of the price and I was disappointed by Bolo’s customer service which I describe below.I have been a caregiver for my father for eight years and we were in desperate need of a product that could safely transfer him from his wheelchair to his bed and vice versa. I spent many weeks searching for something that would Be safe and sturdy and last.I could not find anything until I came across the Molift Raiser Pro. It meats everyone of our needs. My dad is on hospice and has nurses visit him every week. When they saw it, they thought it was great and asked me to text them links to where they can show it to other patients that they feel could really benefit from it. I sent them links to the product on your website as well as links to a few online videos, showing how it works.It’s a great product and the belt that comes with it is very strong. The wheels roll very smoothly on wood floors and tile floors but I would not recommend it on carpet.Overall, it’s a great product and I would highly recommend it.I do have a few issues with it though. See below.1) it is expensive. When I purchased it on Bolo after taxes, it came to a total of $804. For that price, I was disappointed to discover that I did not get the lift block accessories shown on the manufacturers website.2) The base that the patient stands on is barely wide enough for a larger person, it was clearly designed for a smaller person. My dad wears a size 13 shoe and can barely get both feet on it. But he still able to use it safely. My dad is 6’2” 340 pounds and his legs, specifically in the knee area, do not fit the very narrow width of the knee cushions.3) Three or four weeks after I purchased it, Bolo drop the price by about $200. When I called Bolo and asked them if I could get refunded the difference between what I paid for it and the lower price, they told me the only way is to return the product and then re-purchase it for the lower price. this is ridiculous when we need it to help my dad and cannot go without it for the three weeks or longer that It would take to return it and then get another product back at the lower price.I’m pretty disappointed with Bolo for doing this when it would be so easy for them to just put a couple hundred dollars back on my credit card. They had to have known at the time I purchased the product that they were going to lower the price.
