That drone was decent but I did crash it a few times which was annoying. The controller was my mobile and the range was limited.I am heading abroad so I decided to take the plunge with a 'proper' entry model. This has the benefit of being <249g using stock batteries so doesn't need to get involved with complicated rules and regs, easy to transport being folded up to the size of a small fist. The controller is brilliant with no need for a phone to run, and no interruptions from calls or messages. I have tested it and so far in our confined space it works well. On take-off it rises and stays still, when you release the joysticks it stays still and it has obstacle avoidance which works very well (apart from telephone lines!).I will hopefully get lots of hassle-free footage from my holiday which will justify the price. The test footage I have so far is excellent, 4k 60fps video and 48Mp stills. It's mostly avoiding crashing and the controls seem very intuitive. I have watched lots of beginner videos and now will get lots of real-world practice.I'm taking 2 x 256Gb SD cards which should hold around 8 hours plus of footage, and transfer to my phone or tablet is relatively painless. The 3 batteries should give me enough for each trip out, and I have the phone and GoPro to play with as well.Despite the class C0 small restrictions (keep in sight, not > 120m away, not over crowds etc..) I have done the CAA flight test and got my operator ID which I recommend. Insurance for such a pricy 'toy' isn't that expensive either for when you aren't in familiar surroundings.

Just starting out, I did loads of research to make sure to get the best drone for me. This is absolutely the one any body should have. Seemed a bit small and flimsy at first but it is robust under normal conditions.Good looking. Good battery life and you can purchase more. Really good omni directional sensors to help avoid collisions. Lots of extras you can buy too if you really need them.I was impressed with the image quality and the frame size can be adjusted from wider angle 16:9 or 4:3 etc. I like that you can take both stills and video. Very stable in flight when its not too windy. It's pretty easy to use and there's a flight simulation app available to help you learn.Easily portable and can put it in the shoulder bag provided. Less than 250g so fewer restrictions, but you need to read the rules and register first with CAA anyway. Can be used for fun or more seriouslyand glad I bought it.

DJI showed again they can build great drone that is easy to fly and has many many useful features. Clear instructions and application to download helps a lot. Really good quality. So easy to transfer files to your phone and to share . The best drone under 249g , video quality is outstanding, same with pictures. Control pad very easy to operate and you can change the modes. With combo you get 3 batteries altogether, one on the drone and two spare ones with a charger. Plus you get a bag to carry. Good value.

Mind blowing device. Very easy to use. Fantastic resolution video and images. Amazing anti-crash facility. Delicate device. 30min or so flight time per battery can be an inconvenience. Love it.

Este drone esta genial. Es increible. Me gusta muchísimo en autonomía, seguridad, modos de vuelo, seguimientos. Solamente lo he devuelto por la fata de nitidez en algunos planos que necesitaba cerrar la apertura y trabajando todo el rato a 1.7 es un problema. Es cierto que es luminoso para planos de noche, pero practicamente todos los planos que grabo son durante el dia y normalmente paisajes o planos generales o medios, por lo que una apertura tan elevada, en ciertas montañas, paisajes de arboles o cosas similares, me da una especie de desenfoque que no he conseguido evitar. Con otros drones de 2.8 se ve mucho mejor. Es cierto que si quieres desenfoques en algun momento puntual es interesante, pero un f 2.2 por ejemplo o 2.8 y una iso mas eficiente creo que sería lo mas apropiado para un drone. Lo perfecto sería poder combinar ambas y tener una f variable. El segundo motivo por el que lo he devuelto es por el mando Rc2. No carga mapas completos de ciudades o zonas grandes. Esto hace que tengas que estar vinculánculando en el móvil para tener conexión a internet ya que cargar los mapas antes y por trozos pequeñisimos es una auténtica locura. Es cierto qeu el Rc2 tiene un par de botones adicionales pero a veces se me presionaban sin querer. Que tenga la pantalla incorporada también es interesante, pero le reduce muchísimo el tiempo de batería. Asi que me quedo con el mando Rc N2 que ocupa menos y una vez conectado tienes todas las funciones de conectividad del móvil, un alcance increible y mucha más autonomía. Además ocupa mucho menos en la mochila. Conclusión: exceptuando estos dos detalles, es un drone espectácular como todo lo que hace dji. Increible!

The media could not be loaded. Geweldige drone Wat een machine Het is niet te geloven Het kost wat maar de mogelijkheden maken het waar. Mocht je de wereld willen zien zoals je de wereld nooit zou kunnen zien is dit echt een aanrader met een fantastische camera. Niet heel moeilijk te bedienen maar er zijn toch belangrijke punten om aandacht aan te geven neem dat serieus.
