5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } The media could not be loaded. This 3D printer is extremely simple to use. Unbox, remove the tool kit and packaging, undo four security screws, and power on. The printer then goes through it's initial startup procedure, this takes about ten minutes so whilst that is going on you can install the software on your pc from the supplied usb stick, or download directly from flashforge. Once the initial setup has completed you will be prompted to insert filament (a small roll is supplied if you don't have any) it will then print a small test box.Once the box is printed I would suggest connecting the printer to your network (WiFi or LAN) as there will be updates. Follow the instructions for any updates, and then you are ready to print what ever you need. There is minimal requirements to 'tinker' with settings to print, so getting going is a breeze.Given the ease of use and the fact it can print a wide array of materials, the price point makes this fantastic value.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good for the price
The printer works well, prints fast. It has issues now and then but for the price I would expect some.
3.0 out of 5 stars Great printer but software side and mobile support is lacking
Great printer, I can honestly say this prints just as good as any other higher end printer its incredible for the price.Pros:-Print quality is Bambu lab quality-Fast-Plug and play great for new starters no messing around with settings plug it in follow the onscreen setup and your ready for great prints.-Nozzle range is great (if your printing miniatures get the .25 nozzle the detail is incredible, but make sure to open the case up or the nozzle will clog at some point during the print)Cons:-Software is a bit hit or miss, very outdated version of orca slicer-Mobile app is very poor, 90% of the time the mobile app will say the printer is offline even if your 1 foot away from it while its on and idle, you need to refresh it 20+ times for it to finally say its online and if you refresh it again it says the printer is offline again...-develops a clicking noise over time, only fix is to open and remove the entire thing to re calibrate the belts ( I just live with it's not too bad and not worth the hassle to take it all apart and potentially break something)- Only one filament colour option I believe a new model will come out this year with a dual filament option similar to the 5m model refresh that has a new model with multiple filament option now.All in all when you consider the price compared to others like Bambu and Prusa your saving around £600 for similar print quality, My only assumption would be the software and support on their products are a lot better, but if you just need very good prints using a pc next to it you cant beat this for the price.
4.0 out of 5 stars Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro
I have used this twice now, the final results are what I hoped for, to 3d print parts that are now obsolete so unavailable normally. In use though, I found the supplied filament easily breaks, perhaps too brittle. I had to intervene by carefully making sure the filament came off the reel smoothly. Perhaps filament from an alternate supplier would be better. Also let down by the reel holder which is worse than pulling bog roll off a toilet roll holder. But the main issue is that files have to be transferred/input using a usb drive even though it's wifi connected to my router. This using the supplied Orca Flashforge app.The wifi seems to be only for status indications and a camera. Oh and switching the light on and off.So, good quality and so it should be at the price, but mainly let down by being unable to print via wifi from Orca-Flashforge app, perhaps its possible from the Flashprint 5 app, but I gather Flashprint has less functionality. It's worth doing some comparative research before buying.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic
Excellent printer from Flashforge, I've had their finder2 and also finder3. This is the same fab high quality build product.Prints at high speed are excellent and prints well with a wide range of filament brands. If you want a ready to go printer straight out of the box then this is a perfect start. With the auto levelling built in you will be printing within 20mins.
2.0 out of 5 stars Was really happy with this, but then……
I was really happy with this 3d printer initially, easy to setup and use, quick, good quality, no smelly fumes because of the filters. But then less than 2 months of light use and halfway through a print the machine made a strange noise and stopped printing. Showing error codes and unable to reset the z axis without showing errors it became very frustrating. I have been in communication with flashforge who for the last month have been trying to help diagnose the issue, to the point of sending videos for me to dismantle the printer but to no avail. Along with this I had purchased a second Adventurer 5m pro but this time directly from the Flashforge website, unfortunately this printer arrived upside down in the box, unsurprisingly damaged and missing parts. Basically looks like it’s second hand and had previously been returned. Again I’m in communication with flashforge trying to get a replacement or refund. Overall a frustrating time and experience that I now just want resolved.
Le top!
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Vraiment superbe!
Nearly Perfect First Printer
This is my first 3D printer. Late to the game, I was printing a very complex Slappy Dummy head within 30 minutes of taking it out of the box. Orca Slicer is apparently a clone of bambu slicer, and it seems most of them are the same, but it has TONS of options that allow for custom scaling, support styles/placement, and any filament on the market in 2024.I've been printing almost non-stop for three + weeks now with some failures that were easy to diagnose and correct. The hot plate has excellent adhesion with PLA as long as it is kept free of hand oils. I have only needed the glue on a full size Jason V. hockey mask I printed for Halloween.I found that PETG sticks very hard to the build plate if the temp is above 65d and is very hard to get off.High speed PLA, PLA-Silk, and PLA Pro all print and come off the plate perfectly. The enclosed design keeps noise down and dust out very well. I have not smelled any fumes whatsoever so far thanks to the dual internal and external air filters.I found that trying to print directly from a USB stick can cause move queue errors due to read/write speed so copying all files directly to the printer's memory avoids this.It has a filament senor that stops the print if it runs out without letting the nozzle get empty so you can easily put in a new roll and it continues without issue. Also, it recovers from a power outage or accidental disconnect without missing a beat. For the price I would buy this again in a heartbeat.
