The swap out and installation was easy and I appreciated that these came with replacement cotter pins. Pads purchased at MEC in Calgary did not. The only reason that this is a 3 is that these haven't bed in yet so can't comment on overall performance just yet. I can speak to good service and good pricing at this point.To follow up - some extra miles have now allowed the pads to be broken in and stopping power restored. These were used on a 2020 Specialized Rock Hopper and work well.

Got these to replace the brake pads I toasted by going down a mountain that I climbed up, that 1.5 miles of downhill pavement wanted me to go 40mph when 30 felt fast enough for meSwapped out my brake pads for these, and boom. Perfect. Back to properly functioning brakes after I broke these pads inGreat value for the moneyIf you need to replace your pads, just spend the sub $10 and replace them. Brakes are too important to cheap out onTrust me, I know. I rode a bike for a summer with only my front brakes.
