The side buttons are a standout feature, similar to my older kindle, making it incredibly easy to navigate through books and hold the device comfortably during long reading sessions. The colour screen has exceeded my expectations, especially when reading comics—though it can’t completely replace the experience of printed material, it’s a fantastic way to carry and enjoy multiple comics on the go.I also purchased the stylus, and so far, it’s been great for note-taking. It’s responsive and smooth to use, though I do wish there was an option to sync notes with OneDrive. Google Drive works fine, but having more options would be a nice touch.One of the biggest perks has been the ability to connect to my local library and borrow books for free—this has been such a game-changer! The transition from my Kindle was seamless, and I have no regrets about making the switch. Overall, this is a solid e-reader that I’m very happy with.

I am very pleased with this, and I'm pleased that I chose it as my first colour, e-ink reader - something I have been looking at for some time, It’s much better than any of the Kindle readers I have owned. One standout feature is the **Google Drive integration**, which makes adding your ownbooks incredibly easy and convenient.The eReader is lightweight, making it perfect for on-the-go reading. Another fantastic aspect is that it is fully repairable by the user – you can even replace the battery yourself! This is a huge plus for those who value sustainability and longevity in their devices.The display offers vibrant color saturation, which can be further enhanced by switching to "developer mode." This is a simple process, and there are plenty of YouTube videos available to guide you through it. The display is also glare-free, making reading comfortable even in bright sunlight¹.Additionally, the Kobo Libra Colour supports a wide range of file formats, including EPUB, PDF, and MOBI, giving you the flexibility to read almost any book you want. The device also features something kobo calls **ComfortLight PRO**, which reduces blue light exposure, making it easier on the eyes during nighttime reading.Overall, I highly recommend the Kobo Libra Colour for anyone looking to enhance their reading experience with a versatile, user-friendly, and sustainable Reader! The screen quality is good with no problems when it comes to reading, nice adjustable brightness and nighttime mode, not too heavy to hold and quite comfortable in your hands. The screen is slightly smaller than an average book but for smaller hands it fits perfectly. The colour isn't amazing but it isn't bad either it is definitely good enough for reading as long as your books aren't mainly in colour.

I bought this to replace a much older Kobo reader after the screen stopped working. The colour screen isn't a big advantage as it looks dull and washed out. It's less comfortable than my old one because the back is flat, hard and slippery. It's slightly faster and the page turning seems a bit smoother. The buttons are a bit too stiff which doesn't help although I like the fact that you can swap them around. It's a very good ereader however and I use it a lot. The menus are intuitive and the selling point for me is the fact that you can easily download books from a laptop or PC. The screen size is about right and it's not too heavy. I travel a lot and this goes everywhere with me.

I love this. It is nice and easy to use and the form factor makes it perfect for one handed reading (with the other hand under the covers, or to rest my head on. It's nice and light, so no hand strain from holding it up even after an hour or so. The colour is nice but a little useless, I mean the colours are good, but the screen is just a bit small for reading comics on and the only part of books that are in colour are the covers. If you want a primary comic reader, get something a bit bigger. The surface tablet is ideal for me, but maybe I just have bad eyesight!?! The backlight is nice and bright and can be scaled right back so it's a soft glow depending on need. Perfect reader that has me reading way more than I did before buying it.

Amazing e-reader, didn't know i needed the buttons or screensize increase, but now can't imagine it any other way. It's quick and easy to use and set up, too. Battery lasts a long time, and all the settings are amazing. The colours are as good as they can be on an e-ink reader. Highly recommend

It is just the perfect size, gives you the bottons I was looking to use, pdf experience was amazing, note taking was also the best because I loved the size.I loved the google drive to just drop books instead of emailing them like on kindles, BUT battery lasts for two days only!and for non Kepub books the annotation is not the best. Will return.No support for other languages.____I was told the battery issue is due to a faulty item and advised to buy another device. I did thatUnfortunately this time around although the battery is great, the pdfs are no longer responsive.I will just stick to my ipad.

Excelente eReader, lo mejor de Kobo ahora a color

Excelente producto, muy ligero, soporta muchos tipos de archivo, aunque la selección de la tienda de Rakuten no es tan amplia como en otras opciones.El color se ve muy similar al periódico impreso, la primera vez que se ve es impresionante. Por lo mismo la bateria le dura semanas, aun con la retroiluminacion al maximo. Usa cable USB tipo C, y la caja solo incluye un cable. No tiene fuente para toma corriente.Tiene rotacion por giroscopio y botones de hardware para cambiar la pagina, que hacen que la lectura sea aun mas comoda.Opcionalmente se puede adquirir un lapiz para poder tomar notas en el, que sumado a su bateria podrian hacerlo una buena alternativa para estudiantes, aunque es mas pequeñito que una tablet de 7”.Excelente opcion para leer.

Decided to get this after looking up many reviews on YouTube and various review sites. I previously used to have a regular non backlit kindle (probably a 2nd gen). Got this at a slightly lower than MRP price (~18.6k after bank discounts) but worked out as much as it would if you were buying it from abroad (USD $220 MRP). Here is my unstructured review.Colour display - something new, and comics look nice, although not very easy to read on the smaller screen unless you zoom. The colors are not what you'd expect from an led display like a phone, so keep your expectations in check, the tech for that isn't there yet. However, this was not a big deal for me.Physical buttons - now this was important to me. I like touch screen displays generally, but it just isn't as nice when reading a book. The two buttons make turning pages very simple for the hand. The thumb just rests in a button, and press for the page turn. You can still use touch/swipe on screen, but I don't find myself using that as much.Software setup and UI - Very simple to get it started, and some level of customization for the library, although would have liked to have more freedom with organizing/hiding/folders etc. Epubs work without any conversion. I was able to link my google drive account and transfer books via my phone this way. The settings aren't too complicated to find your way around.Other good things about this that I won't get into - good form factor, waterproof, charges quickly, decent battery life (~20h with backlight 40% and reading book, not tested for comic), power button placement, USB C connectivity. Nice to have, but I've not used these fratures - repairable, can use a stylus (some 3rd party ones too), audio books. Also picked up the official cover, fits well, easy to hold, feels good to touch (faux leather).Only thing I wished for is that this was available at a lower price. But I couldn't wait for a price drop, as I had a huge backlog, and I was wasting precious time in travel not really doing anything productive. The cover wasn't cheap either, but no other 3rd party options available as yet, and I can't let an expensive device like this get scratches in my bag.
