5.0 out of 5 stars Good heart rate monitor
Bought as a gift for my daughter to help monitor her heart rate during workout sessions. It has a strap which fits around her chest and it makes a noise if her heart rate exceeds the rate she sets, based on her cardiologist's advice. She is happy with it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product
This heart monitor is easy to wear and has a great number of useful features. I really like the livestream ECG feature and the ability to be able to send information to a health professional.Customer services were really good in responding promptly to my queries about how to use the device. I also had an issue regarding the Apple Watch app, but this was helpfully resolved - it was apparent to me that the company really strives to achieve excellent customer service.
4.0 out of 5 stars Slight improvement on V1 but seemed to give spurious readings on ecg trace.
Having had version 1 for a number of years, thought id try the latest version at the Bolo prime deal. Apart from it uploading quicker and giving a kcals reading and more connectivity, I found there were spurious readings on the ecg trace which caused me to question its reliability and whether it was worth spending another £300 upgrading from V1. Decision was to return and now awaiting refund from Bolo despite them receiving it back 2 days ago.
5.0 out of 5 stars My first device of its kind
In the box you get the monitor, two straps (black and blue, both are adjustable) and a charging cable. You get an easy user guide to set up too.The app can be downloaded onto Apple or android devices. I used Apple so can only talk about its functionality but I assume it’s the same as an android.Set up of the app is easy. Just need to follow onscreen instructions and you’re done in about 5 minutes. It was about 30 minutes for me because the monitor didn’t have any charge, so had to charge it.The monitor has just one button which is rubber. The construction of all parts is good quality and doesn’t feel cheap.First time I wore the device, was during strength training. As you have to have the device on your front, I found it to be quite restrictive when against the strength machines. The strength workout data didn’t record, not sure why but could possibly be because I was wearing the Apple Watch. The monitor and strap is comfortable to wear.In the app. You can’t see active calories. Only tells you total calories. Then the rest of the data is heart rate and training load on the body.Training for about 2.5 hours it used about 4% battery which is good. Not sure about price as it’s my first device of its kind and there is nothing to compare it to.
5.0 out of 5 stars Not your average heart rate monitor
This is certainly not your average heart rate monitor.is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth the cost? Absolutely. From the moment you open the box you can feel the quality in everything. The strap is very comfortable & you get used to it very quickly. The monitor clips on & off of the strap which makes it very easy to clean. It was very easy to set-up on the app & also connects to my watch. the app gives you more stats then you could need, if theres something you need to see this can show you it.A fantastic heart rate monitor that if you need the data is well worth the money.
4.0 out of 5 stars I’m still not completely convinced
I bought this because I was concerned about my heart health. Trying to get fit. I already have a Fenix 6x pro watch, and a Garmin HRM dual pro. I mainly swim, run and do weights. I think it has good potential as there is lots of good data, but some is hidden behind a subscription paywall. It’s great being able to all this stuff but it doesn’t really analyse what you’re seeing with the ecg. I see this as a bit of a shortfall, because what I saw as a concerning ecg, was actually noise. Picked up be small movements in my chest like breathing. I tried various software to read my ECG which caused much alarm and anxiety. A friend of mine who is a cardiologist looked and said my readings were ok, but worth getting a check done due to family history. If I do weights the ecg is so noisy you can’t really get a good ecg. If you get a medical ecg you usually sit perfectly still. Swimming with it gives you a rubbish reading. Same with running. I’ve tried tightening the strap, I don’t find it as comfortable as the Garmin HRM dual pro chest strap.Sleeping with it is ok, but it often feels like it’s lifting off your chest when lying on your side. It charges quick. I hardly wear it now, been low on energy and haven’t been training much, mainly swimming. The novelty wore off quite quickly. I’ll probably just use it to keep an eye on my sleeping. I don’t think I’ll maintain the subscription because I’m not using it enough to warrant the extra cost. They’ve added me to an afib detection beta test group. It’s all innovative, but costly. With noisy rhythms and no real reader, even if indicative, there is a danger you’ll worry yourself to death using one of these when you look at your traces.
4.0 out of 5 stars Range of information
Fourth frontier said they might offer a sports top with the contacts built in. This would be far more comfortable for my wife (who is the user), but nothing has been heard since . As an asthma sufferer the continuous breathing rate and heart strain readout is very valuable

BEST option for ECG chest straps
for $599 it's pricey as hell, but works as it should. it has a live sharing ecg function to show to anyone with the link (link will stay the same every use) which is nice for if you make video content. shows different findings. without the yearly subscription of $119 per yr (they have monthly to), you don't get too much. with the subscription service they provide the VO2 max to it, but no heart ecg interp. of final findings (a-fib, sinus tachycardia, bradycardia, etc).....
Solid Hardware, Premium Pricing
After brief usage, I can confidently say that the product is pretty useful to ensure you don't get past the guardrails when working out. The hardware itself is excellent - reasonably comfortable to wear during intense workouts, with good battery life and consistently accurate readings. I haven't had a chance to test the water resistance, but it looks like it can take some abuse. The app's interface is not too bad. I mainly bought it for measuring my performance during HIIT workouts, indoor running and sleep tracking. For casual fitness enthusiasts, the base unit provides good value. But if you're purchasing this expecting comprehensive fitness tracking without additional costs, you'll likely be disappointed. Where things get complicated is the subscription model. The base functionality works well, streaming real-time ECG and lets you track basic metrics. However, many features I initially assumed would be included are locked behind their annual subscription (INR 10K / year).Overall, solid hardware with questionable pricing strategy. Worth considering if the base features meet your needs without additional subscription.
