I’ve never owned an air fryer before but others who had them convinced me to try one out and I’m glad I did.This air fryer is efficient and easy to use. It takes some educated guesswork to establish how long you cook food in it for, and appropriate temperatures, as it’s unlike an oven which needs time to heat up. Instead, as a guide I halve the time indicated on packaging instructions, otherwise you’ll end up with chargrilled and overcooked food. While it comes with I instructions and a guarantee, it’s best setting it for several minutes at a time with new foods until you can gauge its strength and power.It’s easy to clean (basket and divider are dishwasher safe too, but the drawer isn’t), and simple to operate with the digital panel. I’ve not experienced any issues raised from other reviews, about the device not resuming the cooking programme if you open the drawer and close it again. That may be a software issue from a particular batch some time ago now. It’s been straightforward to use and looks good too.Leave enough space around the air fryer when in use, in order for heat to dissipate and ensure you don’t burn or melt anything in the vicinity. This is common sense really, and fortunately I’ve not had any adverse problem to prompt this in my review, however, it’s always worth mentioning as some users may be surprised this device emits heat when cooking!Overall, a great workhorse particularly if it’s your first ever air fryer. I believe you should buy what you can afford and you tend to get what you pay for. This item, while purchased on offer/sale, was still higher in cost than other brands and models (some also on sale and reduced in price). But in this instance I would advise the build quality and sturdiness sets it apart from the cheaper models on sale too.My only criticism would be the hinged cover over the button that detaches the basket from the drawer unit. It does appear to be somewhat flimsy in contrast to the overall build and size of the device, so care should be taken you don’t snap it off by accident when using it.

I bought this for our static caravan. Not only because the propane oven isn’t the most efficient but also due to soaring fuel costs.Did some homework and looked at reviews of products and was swaying between the Cosori and this one. Chose this despite being more expensive as it had a rotisserie function and the youngest loves rotisserie chicken.It’s quite a size but will fit neatly on a kitchen bench and looks good (see pics)The control panel is easy to use with presets for chips, chicken, roast veg and steaks.Temp and time are easily adjusted if need be.There’s setting for air fry, bake and dehydrate (beef jerky coming soon).The sides are cool to touch even when at full temp so no concerns for little fingers getting burntAfter the initial burn off no chemical smells were noted.Used the rotisserie baskets for test cooking a single portion of skinny fries. The preset automatically started the rotisserie and although temp can’t be adjusted during the cooking process the time can be increased or reduced accordingly. According to the manual and the preset cook on 200 degrees for 20-25 mins. I kept and eye on it and after 13 mins they were done to my liking (see picture). That being said this was for a small portion and the capacity of 700g according to the booklet.I found the rotisserie a little fiddly to get in initially however once you get the hang of it and insert the left side first it’s no problem. The removal is also easy with the special tool provided.I did some internet research and found for processed frozen foods by reducing the instructions cooking temperature by 15 degrees c and time by 20% it works a treat.I grabbed various assorted foods for testing from the freezer and they all turned out perfectly. The sausages cooked to correct safe temp and the fish cake, onion rings and hash browns lovely and crispy. What I’ve also noted from reviews of other makes they require a “shake” mid way through cooking however I didn’t do this and they came out great. In saying that I did cook from frozen some lamb chump chops and although they were cooked well and retained juices they would benefit from turning mid way but didn’t effect the taste.I have noted that once you set time and temp and start the air fryer the time won’t start to count down until the temperature set is reached. So preheat is automatic.There’s a light also that makes it handy to check on things and it goes out automatically after a period of time.I haven’t tried the rotisserie chicken function however it appears easy to use but noted from familiarising myself with the machine that unlike the fries setting you need to start off the rotisserie function manually.Any fat dripping from food is conveniently collected in the drip tray on the bottom and everything is easily cleaned in hot soapy water or bunging in the dishwasher makes it even easier.Overall I’m delighted with the foods cooked and the ease of use.Should also save money in cooking times and fuel costs.

Dead handy little machine this. Rotisserie basket can hold enough chips for a family of four, and cooks wings to perfection.The oven is quite small though, so the manual recommends no larger than a 1.3Kg chicken to put on the spit.I stuff mine with onion and lemon, marinade/season/apply rub to the skin, tie the legs up, then use the preset chicken button. Perfectly cooked and incredibly juicy.The touch controls aren't very sensitive. Trying to add negatives in between the positives.The thing that to me is it's stand-out feature is the drying/dehydrating function. I've done citrus fruit and herbs (actually made a nice mulled wine spice), and even flowers. But my favourite is home made jerky. Get a steak or three, trim the fat, tenderise it and flatten it, then marinade (i keep it simple, salt, pepper, Worcester sauce and chilli flakes). Place on each of the three removable shelves and dehydrate; I usually go for 6 hours at 60'C. Check it, and once its ready chop up with scissors into strips, trying not to eat it as you go along!I've had an error once or twice, don't know what it was but it happened half way through cooking, so if you use the preset buttons you'll overcook your grub.Cleaning is simple enough, there's nothing really for your sponge to snag on. I line the drip tray with either foil or greaseproof paper, let that cool and then just bin / recycle it.All in all a great machine that's perfect for quick, easy, low-fat meals.
