I’m in my 70’s and lived in the Middle East for years. I’ve had injuries, sunburn, allergies, sore spots, overzealous cosmetic skin peeling solutions. I used to use Vaseline (recommended by plastic surgeon) but this is better. It has a very similar texture. It IS heavy. It doesn’t sink into the skin, it forms a barrier between the air and the skin. It differs from Vaseline/petroleum jelly in as much as it contains specific skin care/soothing/nourishing ingredients. It’s a specialist product. I used to use retinoids and glycolic acid on my skin and sometimes I over do it. It has soothed irritated skin, it has moisturised skin so dry I thought it would crack. I put it on at night and wake in the morning with dewy skin, yes, even in my 70’s! I also use it on my cuticles because we all know never to cut cuticles but to soften them. Simple product, in my case, a miracle worker!

The ointment is effective for repairing very dry and chapped skin, especially during winter. The formula is thick and creates a protective barrier, but it leaves a greasy residue that doesn’t absorb quickly. The 88ml tube is compact and travel-friendly but runs out fast with regular use. It’s unscented, which is good for sensitive skin, but the consistency makes it less practical for daily application on larger areas.Verdict: Works well for targeted repair but is greasy and not ideal for all-over use.

I just love this. As you can see I have finished the big one and couldn't find it in stock so ordered the small size. You can use it on dry, cracked, red skin and it works wonders. I use it as a last step on my son ezceme skin at night and it has made a huge difference. I use it as step before my make when I want to go light and glowing, I use when I am massage my face. Honestly I could go on, little goes a long aways and there are 100s of uses for this product you won't regret it. Buy the small on and you'll want to buy the big one and it will become one your most used product in the house for all the family

It’s mostly petroleum jelly, so if you’re expecting a cream-like texture or something non-greasy you’re looking at the wrong product. It serves a very similar function of keeping moisture in so while it doesn’t sit on the skin quite as badly as Vaseline does, it’s not vastly different.However, this seems to work more effectively for soothing the skin. I use very stripping acne and anti-ageing products that can really irritate the corners of my eyes and mouth and lead to my skin becoming very dry and flakey. I put this on the outer corners of my eyes which were so sore and not only was it immediate relief (vaseline doesn’t do that), they were significantly improved when i woke up in the morning. It’s also great on my chapped lips, and on days when my skin just feels so dehydrated or raw I use half a pea sized amount over a watery moisturiser to lock it all in without looking like a complete oil slick.A little goes a long way so while it’s not cheap like vaseline is, it’s still fairly good value for money and I expect the 88ml tube will last a very long time

Excellent product. It's very similar to Vaseline let's be honest. If you use Vaseline then you don't really need this Cerave product. I think its like 2% better than just plain Vaseline. But what I love is the squeezy tube. Pots of Vaseline are just unhygienic and this tube doesn't involve sticking fingers into it. So it's better! My skin loves it.

This is really good and repaired my skin barrier I broken in like six days with putting it on twice a day. At first I thought it wasn't worth it as it's pretty much fifty percent vaseline which is way cheaper to buy but it also contains three essential ceramides and Hyaluronic acid. It's also fragrance and alcohol free and hypoallergenic. But it's pretty greasy being half vaseline. I used it on my neck so it wasn't a problem getting it everywhere bar getting a little on the neck of my tee shirt.

Bought this product as I locked online and the ingredients in this have been found to help with chapped lips with the weather at the minute in the UK my lips were split and cracked and painful and dry this product absorbed into my lips it has a really nice thickness and is such a large bottle that it will last me along time

Je m’en sers pour hydrater mes lèvres sèches, mes mains et mes pieds également.Par contre, je ne comprends pas le poids du produit qui est de 88g. Ça donne l’impression que la marque nous fait payer ce produit au prix des 100g. Pas fan de la manœuvre…
