It is quite taxing as a tired parent though as you have to come up with imaginative ideas for different situations..such as ‘I’m an astronaut, and I just spilled something in my space station. What did I spill?’ then have to give ideas from the least distressing to the most distressing depending on which card you get. People then guess whether your card was 1-10 on the distressing scale. It is tricky to get your head around the concept of the game at first but only takes one game and then it becomes very funny. It is great to play as a family partly as it isn’t overly competitive.

This is a really fun party game for a group of friends. The components are good quality and it's really easy to pick it up. I haven't played enough to know how quickly the variety of cards becomes tiresome, but we've played a good few games so far and it's been great fun. Would recommend!

This game is hilarious so easy to play. Theres no set up or confusing rules. My family are big into board games. It takes some imagination but you can make of it what you like - good for drunk nights or playing with kids. I think you do need a few players though - ideally more than 4 as you have to guess where someone has pitched their answer on a scale of 1-10. For instance. One question is about an item you could take on a plane 1 being without any trouble 10 being you’d have a load of difficulty so if you said ‘a bomb’ you’re team might be a able to guess your answer was about a 10 on the difficulty scale

Exploding Kittens have reallyThe box is nicely illustrated and printed. Inside the box you have 3 decks of cards, score mat and the rule set. Two of the decks are the question decks with the remain deck being the numbered one through to ten. The cards are good quality and clearly printed. The game is really quite straightforward and quick to learn. The game is cooperative with all players working together. At the beginning of each turn the players are dealt one of the numbered cards. One player then reads a question, for example: You are trapped in a burning room with a? Players, including the player whom read the question, then give their answer based on the numbered card they are given. With 1 being typically the least useful and 10 being the most. The player then has to order the cards based on the answer given. If they select the right order then it the card goes on the "good" pile. If they don't then it goes on the "bad" pile. There are modifiers for player numbers to help the game flow. The game plays pretty well. However it is very much dependant on having imaginative players.Another simple but well thought out game from Exploding Kittens. My only real complaint is the price. While it is nicely the presented the components are limited a deck of cards. I feel this could have been made more travel friendly and at a more affordable price point.

Great game that allows you to be creative, work together as a team and you get to know the other players. We played it as a family game during Christmas and it was one of the best family games we have played.

This is a review of "That Escalated Quickly by Exploding Kittens".First impressions very positive - the game comes in a high quality multi-coloured quality cardboard box. The quality feel continues with the contents, all of which have been manufactured to a high standard.The game though.... that's a different matter. It's a difficult game to grasp initially and potentially difficult to explain to others. The YouTube video helps - a lot - but how many board games have you played where you had to watch a YouTube video first to help you understand it?Once grasped, the game was entertaining enough to play in a family group but I got the impression that no-one was fully 'bought in' to it. Perhaps it's because it's a team game with no individual winners and losers? I think it will likely work best with some (much) younger players in the mix.Certainly there was the novelty factor to consider but I'm not convinced that the game will have longevity - it definitely will not become a 'classic' board game....Note: As a member of the Vine program I was supplied with this item free of charge. I will always provide an impartial and fair review of the product in question. The rules of this game are pretty simple. I played it at a tabletop games night and enjoyed it so much that I ordered it as soon as I got home. The game is very much dependant on the people that play, but that's part of the beauty of it - different players, different responses. Would be good for a get-together of friends.

It’s not difficult to play and it makes me laugh! We’ve been playing it with 4 people and it works very well. The more people who play, the more challenging it would be to “win”. But winning in my opinion isn’t that important. It’s more about how well we did, and laughing at the answers. The questions are very fun and answers can be simple or complex, and do not need to be excessively creative. Sometimes the simplest answers get the most laughs. We’ve had turns where we have numbers that are all one away from each other, and it’s so satisfying to collectively as a group get them in the correct order. The 1’s and 10’s are the easiest to recognize because they are so over the top. It’s the numbers in the middle that are a little more tricky. Great family or party game.

I bought this game on a whim, having no idea how much fun it would be. It's become a new family favorite! There are so many cards and scenarios, and many of them make people say absolutely hilarious things. We play with 6 people, but more would be even better. The low and high numbers are easy, but 3-8 can be pretty hard to get in the right order. We don't even pay attention to how many cards we go through in a game, we just play until we get sick of it (which is usually an hour or more). I would highly recommend!

Our family really enjoys this game. Our kids are 15, 15, and 13 so finding something that is familY friendly but not too babyish can be tough. We’ve had lots of laughs playing this one. It’s also different from a typical card game.
