My main reason for ordering this was to cook eggs. I'm too lazy to remove the glass hob protectors (and all the stuff on top of them) and then get the fry pan out, cook the eggs and then have to wash everything up and also get rid of the greasy bits that spit out of the fry pan.With this fab little product I can take it out the cupboard, plug it in, smear some olive oil over both top and bottom plates, crack in one or two eggs, pop the lid down and in about 4 or 5 mins the eggs are cooked perfectly, whites set and yolks nice and runny, just how I like them. I have used it to make a toasted sandwich, seeing as that's really it's main purpose and it does that perfectly too, but as I say my main reason for getting it was to cook the fried eggs.The top and bottom plates are just far enough apart not to touch the top of the yolk when the lids down (didn't snap the lock shut just left that open so I could peep in a couple times when I first started cooking the eggs in this to check they were cooking well).Then when I remove the eggs all I have to do is wipe the plates over with a damp clean cloth or sponge, dry with a paper towel and put it away.What a find! I can recommend this without hesitation, it cooks evenly across both plates and is easy to clean, small enough to not take up much room on the work top and works perfectly!

Amazing but takes long to cook

26th May 2025.The non stick isn't non stick. Bought this on 10th April 2025, can't return it and it can no longer be used as just sticks. Would have expected item to last longer than 6 weeks. We don't use it that frequently.

Just the right size for a full size of bread and to make a cheese and onion toasted sandwich. I've also read somewhere that this model you can make a small breakfast with a sort of fried egg. I'm going to give it a go. If it fails I've lost nothing and it's still a toasty maker. It also looks like it will clean easy with Teflon plates. Apart from ease of use just plug it in and away you go.

I now have delicious breakfasts! In fact I do not miss my old toaster that spectacularly died recently. I make a marmalade toasted sandwich of which Paddington would be proud. I prefer the flat surface as it cooks better than my old shaped one which also was messy. This is a nice neat size and convenient to place on the table or wherever suits you. It's easy to clean. I did try to make a pancake but it was too slow so I stick with toasted sandwiches and this satisfies me. As this was such a low price I had enough money to buy a specialised pancake maker.

I use this product almost every day. It is very good and takes very little time to toast or grill. It is small in size so caters for one person living alone or two people.

I thought if I paid a bit more, it would be better quality. It worked well at first but then our sandwiches were really messy and it became really hard to clean. I think it had to do with the angle of the insides. By contrast, I paid a very reasonable price for this and it makes such a clean grilled cheese. I think since it's flat, the cheese doesn't slide out as easily. My kids like using the cheese slices which made such a mess with the other one as the cheese would slide right out but seems to stay put with this one.
