The Earth Rated Tug of War toy is a sturdy, well-made choice for dogs who love an energetic game. The material feels tough enough to handle repeated pulling without fraying too quickly, and the design gives you a good grip on one end while your dog goes wild on the other.It’s lightweight enough for indoor play but strong enough for outdoor sessions too. My only minor gripe is that very determined chewers might still get through it faster than expected if left unsupervised. Still, as a bonding and exercise toy, it’s a tail-wagging win.

My puppy is very excitable, full of energy and quic to bite ankles, hands etc. This toy has given me a way to play with her safely on a wet lawn - she can’t reach my hands when tugging and it presents an easy target for her to pick up when thrown for a retrieve. It’s actually lived outside and has endured snow and rain, ready for when the puppy has a mad moment. Really pleased!

Great if you use it for what it's meant for.
It is meant for tugging. If you leave it out for your dog to chew on then of course it is going to get ripped apart. I think some people giving it 1 star have never owned a dog before. Dogs can destroy most things if you let them. It is comfortable to hold and my dog likes playing with it. It lasts a few months but it gets used almost every day. Eventually when it starts to break apart, the cracks pinch my dog's mouth. It's probably the best tugging toy I have found at a reasonable price. So I would give it a 4.5.

We have gone through more pull toys than I can count. They either fall apart within minutes, hurt your hand or arm attempting to play, or causes the dog’s mouth to bleed after a few tugs. This design is as close to perfect as possible, doesn’t hurt either of us AND actually holds up for months! We love it so much I ordered two more to keep on hand for fear I wouldn’t be able to find it again.Our dog is a pit mix who LOVES to tug and is pure muscle - nothing holds up to her strength, until this toy. If your dog loves to play serious tug of war - you won’t be disappointed with this toy!
