The grip is great on dry paths, loose gravel and scree - really bites into the ground pushing uphill. Copes well with moderate muddy, softer ground with a stiffsole giving good protection. There isn't a massive amount of cushioning / support - which I like - so not ideal if you're transitioning from really constructed road shoes. Summary: ideal for 3 seasons heavy wear and tear and significant mileage.

These are proper mint, best trainers I've ever had. I'm a size 9 and size 9 fit perfectly. Highly recommend these trainers to anyone looking for trainers.

After only 4 months light wear the holes appeared. We bought half size up for better fit so they are not tight at all. Not the quality you would expect from Salomon for this money. Extremely disappointed

As others have mentioned previously, the left trainer makes a really loud, noticable squeak as you walk. I thought it might be because they were new but it doesn't improve over time. Check this when you first put them on.

As an Avid Runner especially Trail Running I have always been fond of Salomon and wanted to try another version of the Trail Running Trainer. These Trainers dare I say for Trail Running are the Best I have wore! So comfortable to wear, plenty of support and also plenty of room if your wide footed like me. Overall these bad boys tick every box and worth every penny! I have ran 200+ Miles in them to date and they are still in perfect condition including the Grip and Tread; even after the Trails through mud, Water and Gravel. Simply Love them!

A Comfortable and Stable Performer

I have been surprised by this shoe repeatedly, nearly every time run in it I find something else to like about it. For starters, the fit is fantastic. I feel like it wraps around the contours of my foot, holding it precisely in place for each step. The ride is soft enough to keep the teeth of the trail from biting too much, but not so soft that it loses stability on uneven surfaces. I have worn them in a variety of conditions and terrain and haven't experienced any slippage either way, on dry, loose soil or wet, rocky surfaces. My only complaint is a minor one, born of my experience exclusively with road shoes; these shoes are too heavy for my taste. However, if that is the worst thing I can say about them, then I think Salomon has done their job exceptionally well. Overall, my experience in this shoe has been excellent. I will run my first trail race in them tomorrow, and I look forward to the comfort and stability they will provide for the 25k we plan to traverse together.

I haven’t yet had a chance to wear them other than to just try them on in the house. They seem to fit true to size however they have a connected sleeve inside that is mash from the tongue to the foot bed and in my try on that was a bit uncomfortable. I think the rest of the shoe looks to be Very nice. I’m going to try on a few more times with other socks to see if I can tolerate the internal tongue sleeve mash. If not, I will likely not use these but if so they could be a very good trail shoe

Tenía mis dudas porque los compré a principios de febrero y recién habían salido estos Sense Ride 4 y por lo tanto no había muchas reseñas sobre el calzado sin embargo estoy muy satisfecho.Elegí estos tenis porque mi ruta de trail incluye unos 5km de concreto y amortigua bien en ese terreno. Anteriormente utilicé unos Adidas Terrex Agravic para la misma ruta y son buenos pero no tanto como este par.Mi número es 6.5 y estos Salomon me quedaron perfectos también he corrido con Puma Speed Ignite con talla 6.5 e igual me han quedado perfectos, no así con los Adidas Terrex ya que en esos debo pedir medio número más pequeño.

A detta di mio marito sono ottime, ha migliorato le sue performance di corsa. Prima usava salomon speedcross 4.
