I have a turntable vinyl record converter to MP3 and thought there must be a cassette converter out there so I went straight onto Bolo and saw a few which didn't really impress me but then came across this little wonder and I am so very glad I did as it's a everything I wanted and more. The cassette player & mp3 converter is very well packaged with good instructions and USB cable. The device is really quite nice looking and all the buttons are easy to use and well placed with the usual buttons at the top for operating the cassette player and buttons on the front for the digital functions with a very nice and clear operational display. There is a wired earphone port but the built in speaker has good sound, OK it's not brilliant but sitting next to you at a mid-range volume it sounds good. Transferring to mp3 is very easy and I was amazed that the transfer quality is much better sounding than the actual cassette tape, I've transferred about a dozen of cassette where the music isn't available on any of the providers and it's wonderful to listen to the music again. I popped the card into my phone and downloaded the music so that I can bluetooth it to my Bose player, but I still play the tapes on this cassette player with earphones at night to chillout and enjoy the cassette as I use to, but have them backed up as the cassettes will wear and become unplayable but the digital copies are backed up for continued listening pleasure. The player came fully charged and lasted ages, it is slow charging but it does hold a good charge. An excellent device at a remarkable price!

A fantastic product and great customer service. My wife has hundreds of old audio plays some recorded from radio and some no longer available and we are digitising them and dropping onto her iPod. The process is so simple. The quality is fantastic and my wife couldn't be happier. Some tapes are over 30 years old and this machine is handling them perfectly. The beauty is she can walk around recording and checking the tapes rather than sitting for hours on end with a fixed audio link to a mac. I spent months searching for similar products but reviews were mixed in quality and noise then luckily i came across this one and took the plunge as a Christmas present and it was a great decision. My wife says it has made her so happy to be able to listen to her old collection and know they are now digitized and no longer at risk of deterioration. Well done Gracioso for a great product.

This is a terrific solution to the problem of what to do with old cassette recordings. When I broke my old portable tape player, I could find few simple options online, but this one works brilliantly, recording to its built-in micro-SD slot (for which you get a free card pre-installed). This makes the work of digitizing super-simple, and the experience is greatly improved by the fact that the unit's volume controls only the onboard speaker (admittedly poor quality, but good enough for monitoring) and does not affect the recording levels. On top of that, though it's hard to see it anyway in the 'manual', the unit can be powered both by battery (it's quite a faff to install one as you have to remove screws, for unknown reasons) or by USB-C, which is a fantastic addition and should be made clear in their publicity.Weird features include an mp3 track already on the SD card which plays odd water sounds any time you turn off the cassette itself: the first few times I though the thing was possessed, until I figure out how to delete it. But even after doing so, anytime you record something, as soon as you stop the cassette, the digital recording plays back which is far more irritating than it sounds. There is no way to stop this from occurring each time, so get used to it!Other than that, this is a great little machine. I'll treat it with kid gloves because some other reviewers say that theirs stopped working after a while, but, so far, mine is working perfectly.Highly recommended, especially at the price.

I bought this to use during a retro 80s day at work, and styling wise it looked the part and didn't disappoint.So far I've used all the features bar the tape side of it. Annoyingly I got rid of all my tapes around 10 months ago :( (I may be tempted to buy more).Pluses so far:Battery life is really good, I can get a few days out of it before thinking about a charge.The LCD screen - while very basic, it's bright and clear and gives the the info you need without any nonsense or clutter.It has shuffle, track repeat and playlist repeat (at least for MP3s).The speaker is very good despite the size of it and the unit. I've not used it on full volume yet as it's quite loud so I'm not sure what it's like at higher volumes, but it's clear and doesn't sound tinie.Headphones work well with it, I may have misunderstood another purchaser, but I do get stereo from my cheap in ear pair.The SD slot doesn't seem as though you'll be able accidentally eject the card, and the power button is sturdy enough to avoid randomly turning it off or on if in your pocket.I think the only thing I've found on the down side is it doesn't have bluetooth, which is a shame as it would be great for headphones.If I do get more tapes and use that feature I'll update on how well that side of it performs.EDIT: Not the device, but the included SD Card failed on Friday (17/08/2024) just under 2 months after purchasing the player and not used that much. I'm hoping it's only a faulty card and not something the player has caused.

Macht genau das was es soll und zwar richtig gut.Gekauft um meine alten Kassetten und Mix-Tapes zu digitalisieren. Das Ergebnis bzw. Qualität ist erstaunlich sehr gut.Zum Lieferumfang gehört auch eine 16 GB Microdisk sowie ein Microdisk-USB- Adapter + USB-C-Kabel.Man kann also direkt loslegen. Der integrierte Lautsprecher ist nicht so toll aber was erwartet man von so einem kompakten Gerät und zu diesem Preis. Durch die Audio-Out Buchse können hochwertigere Lautsprecher oder Kopfhörer angeschlossen werden. Kauf durchaus nicht bereut.

Cumple lo que promete de sobra. Viene con tarjeta micro SD incorporada y trae un adaptador de USB para el ordenador. Según pones la música, graba automáticamente y puedes escucharla por el altavoz que trae, que se oye bastante metálica, o por la entrada de Jack de 3.5.Muy buen producto.

This is an updated review.After I wrote my unfortunate experience with this Gracioso Player, the seller promptly contacted me, and sent me a replacement machine. Customer service = 100%! I decided to wait a bit before updating my review, as I wanted to ensure that my first experience wasn’t repeated.I write this update as I’m listening to an 90s tape. I haven’t had the experience I had with the first tape player, and I’m confident to say that it seems that with the first player, I received an outlier product that was slightly defective. (Actually, I opened it up (not too easily) and discovered that the problem was just that one of the rubber bands was a tad loose to move a rotating wheel.)What I love about this Gracioso player:1. The sound is clear and loud enough for regular listening, even without using the earphones2. It uses the universal and easy to get USB C charger3. It keeps charge for a long time4. It’s just so convenient to record from tape to the microSD. I don’t have to use audio apps to have playable music on the go.5. The micro SD comes slotted into a USB flash disk (and it’s removable) meaning that you can record and easily play with any player compatible with a USB flash disk or micro SD6. The price is definitely worth it7. A clear digital display with a counter8. It’s easily portable: the size, and the fact that it carries chargeWhat I wish (future improvements?):1. That there was a see-through display showing the tape playing (that’s how we used to see them in the 80s and 90s!)2. That it had Bluetooth connectivity to speakers3. A variety of colours: I wish I had a choice not to buy the white4. That it had direct USB flash disk recording5. When it’s on but without the Play button pressed, it automatically plays the plugged in microSD card: I wish there was a toggle for that.All in all, this is a great Gracioso player worth buying!Previous review:Aaaargh, this product is so annoying!It worked for exactly one week, playing for about 15 hours in total, and then died out!From the look of things, it's probably the wheels that pull the tape that have stopped rotating. Not only has this caused the device to stop working, but the device has spoilt several of my 30 year old tapes as i tried to play them: the tapes have been "chewed"! And who repairs these things anymore?? So, i'm left with no functional tape player, damaged tapes, and money gone.Yet the device had so much promise, with good sound recording, and portability. I just wish it was more durable.
