5.0 out of 5 stars Great everyday rain jacket
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I regularly go backpacking and hiking and usually wear a very expensive Haglofs LIM III rain jacket...very expensive but superbly designed. I want it to last me for many more years...my previous one (which I still have) was used extensively for over 25 years! But, for my local daily 'constitutionals' I wanted something a little less 'technical' that would still provide rain cover, not be too heavy, and can be left in the car if necessary without fear of theft...replacement cost has to be low. This jacket fits the bill perfectly. I am 5' 7" and ordered the M size. It fits perfectly...not too long in the arm, and a length that provides good cover over my backside. I can wear this over a light base layer or several thicker layers...it's plenty roomy without feeling baggy. The hood compacts well into the collar and while it is not the best, it does have pull cords to tighten it around the head. I find hoods usually work best over a peaked cap though. The jacket has 4 pockets: two zip pockets outside (R&L), and two pockets on the inside. The latter pockets have no zips and are more suited to light items like gloves, or maybe even a map. I wouldn't put a water bottle in them. The seams are well sealed and it provides good rain protection, though I haven't tried it yet in a heavy downpour. If moisture is felt inside then it is most likely due to condensation from perspiration...the jacket does get quite warm if you're walking at pace, like I tend to.The jacket packs into a small separate draw-string bag, rather than one of its own pockets and this makes an easily stowed lightweight package to carry in another bag or throw in the glove box or door storage in the car.Overall, at one-tenth of the price of my Haglofs jacket, this has become my go-to rain lightweight cover for short walks or car trips. Excellent value for money.
4.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight and watertight
This Is a lightweight watertight jacket that packs to fit a large pocket and works very well. I use it for fishing lakes in and around Snowdon. This jacket does what it is meant to but please remember whilst it will keep out a bit of rain or mist it gives NO thermal protection at all.
5.0 out of 5 stars HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!
EXCELLENT QUALITY , PERFECT FIT , GET THE TRAVEL POUCH WITH TO PACK AWAY ! , KEEPS YOU WARM ALSO ! AS DRY ! (ZIPPED SIDE POCKETS , ZIP FRONT WITH VELCRO & POP FASTENERS , BIG INSIDE POCKET ON EACH SIDE OF JACKET ,CONCEALED HOOD, EXCELLENT ZIP QUALITY !)
5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal raincoat to keep in a backpack.
A roomy coat, great to put over a cardigan or jacket. Comes with a hood folded into the collar. Comes with its own carry bag. It is thin so will keep you dry but not necessarily warm. The only downside is that it isn't easy to fold back into the bag. It looks well made, a downpour will test that theory.
3.0 out of 5 stars Great jacket but had to return due to defect!
The jacket is very good for the waterproof side, but the Velcro on the front came off after a few uses!
5.0 out of 5 stars Light weight rain proof parka
Great light weight, easy dry parka for keeping in the car in the event of bad weather. It's a great layer to wear over warm clothing and big enough to keep me dry when out on a long walk. Quality is good for the price. I have worn this for casual walks in heavy rain and it did the trick.
4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for summer showers
I have a number of winter jackets, but needed a light weight jacket to replace a damaged one, this is my first mountain warehouse jacket and it is actually better and cheaper than the one I got from Tesco which tbf was pretty good, I like this one better as you can fold the hood away. As another person said, and this is common for cheaper jackets, you need to wear a baseball cap under the hood so that the peak stops the hood from covering your eyes. Not a big deal. I was so impressed I purchased two more on different colours. Recommended to keep in the car or for summer showers.I meant to add I am between xl and xxl so took a chance on the xl and it fits perfectly.
5.0 out of 5 stars Dry as a bone
Just what was needed thank you . Lovely cait and brilliant in the rain
Simple y funcional
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Lo que estaba buscando.
Good enough
Jacket does the job. True to size. Well made. In case it's not clear for some people, this jacket is not lined at all. Just a basic, single-layer, rain jacket. Only 4 stars because I don't consider it breathable at all. My arms were sweating after trying it on when it first arrived.
VERY warm coat
We live in western PA and it can get really cold and windy. We hike up on the mountain where the temps are even colder plus the wind. I wore a lightweight hoodie under it with just a t shirt and it totally kept the wind out and was very warm. Just make sure to keep the pockets closed because wind will find its way through them. I bought my partner one as well because it is so warm. I would DEFINITELY recommend this jacket. The only thing I don't like is the hood. It sticks up kinda far off my head which is why I wear the hoodie. Other than that this is an awesome jacket and inexpensive. I do not need name brands with high prices.
Quality
Lightweight and relatively inexpensive
Why no thanks
I liked the price and colour
