1.0 out of 5 stars Not fit for purpose
It looked good but that’s about it sadly. First of all on opening the lid was not attached and dropped onto kettle breaking the lid - not even from any highly just as I was opening the box. Thinking it’s my fault no biggie I will glue the little lid handle back on but the first time I have boiled it the kettle cracked all the way through. Now good job I was cautious as this could have ended very badly. I don’t think this product is fit for purpose and do not recommend it to anyone.
5.0 out of 5 stars The best kettle ever
Probably the best kettle ever. NO PLADTIC TASTE. Looks great only risk is because its ceramic be careful not to chip the spout.
1.0 out of 5 stars Leaks from the base of the kettle itself
Despite it being heavy, I loved the look of this ceramic kettle. I bought it in May and it was fine at first but lately the kettle is leaking badly. This is not due to over filling. It means that once boiled boiling hot water leaks out of the bottom of the actual kettle making the base it sits on (the part you plug into the electricity point) very wet, which, as electricity is involved seems pretty dangerous. As boiling water is dripping from the bottom of the kettle it’s double dangerous.I suspect this is a design flaw in the attachment of the plastic kettle bottom to the ceramic body of the kettle. I’ve emailed the company. No reply yet. I’ll need to buy a safer kettle.
4.0 out of 5 stars very heavy
Really lovely kettle but very, very, very heavy and this is before filled in with water.
5.0 out of 5 stars Happy with my purchase
I am liking it very much. It’s priced well & fits for my purpose. Though I agree that it’s heavy. I hope it doesn’t leak any time soon as other people have mentioned cos I want to buy 2 more as gifts for my sis-in-laws.
2.0 out of 5 stars Different from the usual, in good and not so good ways
It does look better than the usual white plastic or metal kettles, and the long spout is great but..1. Because it's made of relatively thick ceramic, it's not something you can boil some water in, use that, and then put more cold water in to boil some more. That risks cracking the side because of the sudden cooling. So, if you're going to use the kettle, check no-one else needs water boiling for the next 15-20 minutes and hope they want it at the same time you do.2. Cooling it down is a reason it very much wants to be completely emptied after boiling.3. The water level marks are on the inside (fine) but there are only two of them: min (around two cups) and max (around six cups). They're easy to see - ridges that go around the inside - but it would be good to have more of them. This evening we needed a pint (to do some rice) and a cup (to make some tea) around the same time. Fortunately, the guess as to where to have the water level turned out to be roughly right, but if it had been under, one task would be stuck with not enough (see #1) and if it had been over, we'd have wasted energy (see #2).4. It is heavier and will be more fragile.5. Given that it is likely to be somewhat different to every electric kettle you've used before, why are the actual instructions so in such small type? The previous couple of pages of warnings are a sensible size - why not the instructions?6. The setup doesn't mention that the power lead should be uncoiled from the base before using - having a mains power cable in a loop is not a great idea when it's carrying around 6A. Because of the direction it's been looped in, you need to bend it back against that direction when feeding the cable through the 'exit' slot - why wasn't it looped that way?
3.0 out of 5 stars Heavy noisy
Very very heavy brought for my mom she can’t lift it as she has carpal tunnel syndrome. But looks lovely oh also it’s very noisy
Such a great product and excellent price

Failure!!!!
Nice, but the ceramic casing is poorly fitted to the plastic substrate!!!! How on earth this passed quality control is a mystery, or they don't give a damn about what the product does.
