The screen is very similar to the experience of reading from paper and the reader is set up with good software for organising, grouping and sorting through larger libraries.

This is to replace my old Kobo, I tend to do this maybe every 3 years and this is my 3rd one. I love the auto adjust room lighting feature so Jo messing around if you're in the sun or indoors. Very easy to use and can carry in any bag as it's not too big and not bulky like a book.

Bought to replace my old Kobo Glo, on left in the picture, Clara on right - Glo screen became randomly non responsive to commands (but lasted 10yrs) hope the Clara is as reliable. Similar size, definately faster startup and shutdown, and more features as you would expect with a newer device. WiFi is a lot better, and screen seems sharper, it works well with the 'Callibre' ebook application I use on my PC. Only downside is that there is no SD card expansion slot, but I never really needed that, I can always store books I am not currently reading on my PC in Callibre.

I replaced my old faithful NOOK (which I had for many years ) with this KOBO Clara 2e Sadly my Nook was in my suitcase which got lost at an airport.After lots of researching I decided on the Kobo mainly because I did not want to be tied to an Bolo kindle with its palaver on downloading ePub books. I am delighted with my Kobo, I have added 6 of my epubs already and all looks good. Very simple to use and really lightweight. Would definitely recommend.

I had an 5 years old model of kobo since last week. I decided replace it with a kindle paperwhite. My experience with kindle went terrible as I could not read the document that I copied from a pc. I emailed the document as mentioned in their help. It went badly as well. They converted my original document's font and format to their own. Then some weird characters poped up almost on every page that made the domcument unable to read and unable to understand some times. Long story short I am trully happy to exchanged the kindle with this kobo now. no email, no convert, just copy then start read.

So far I've had this 3 weeks, I originally was going for the Libra 2 but the price had shot up and I had some work vouchers, I choose this as it was more flexible in the formats it supported and did not tie me into the Bolo world.There are plenty of sites where you can find many free books in the epub format if you look, I found ten that I wanted to read and it was a straight drag and drop to load them.I thought the screen would be too small but its fine and weighs next to nothing, I prefer reading in dark mode and have ordered the basic sleep cover from Kobo as I could not find that one on Bolo plus I've noticed Bolo prices creeping up on a few things.So far I am happy with my first foray into e book readers.

Merhaba. Daha onceden cok kitap okudugumu soyLenemez. Bunu aldiktan sonra e kitap bitirdim. Begenmedigim bir kitabi hemen geciyorum. Uygun fiyatli kitap cok var. Mesela Celal hocanin kitaplari uygun. Normal kitaptan daha uygun olmasi, belki daha da uygun olacak olmasi sebebi ile bile alinir. Yer kaplamiyor. Her ortamda okunuyor. Kitap cevirecegim, sayfa kokusu, sesi bana gore en buyuk hikaye. Teknoloji bence bazi konularda iyi. Kitap konusunda ulasamayacaginiz bir kitaba ulasiyorsaniz gelenekselci olmaya gerek var mi? Pdf den uzak durun. Kobo nun kendi formati cok iyi. Dedigim gibi ben kitap okuyan biri degil iken simdi serviste en az 20 30 sayfa (normal kitaptaki sayfa sayisina tekabul edecek rakam kimin umurunda?) okuyorum. Yolculukta cantada tasinmasi ( dusunun ne kadar kitabiniz varsa cantanizda) istediginiz okuma ozgurlugu, istemedigini sadece paranizi harcadiginiz bir kitap olarak okumayin. Tabletimde ki kobo program kurulu ama goz yoruyor. Kendisi YORMUYOR. Aslinca bu koboyu alinca benim icin fikrimce iyi kitap kotu kitap ayrimini anladim. Bana gore okudugunuz kitap oyle olmali ki sizi resmen icine cekip o ortama suruklemeli. Yani bir film izliyorsunuz. Bu sizin hayal gucunuzu bitiriyor. Ama bir kitap okuyorsunuz. Senarya yazili. The media could not be loaded. I have always been an avid book reader. But I had always used phone as a mode of reading. Finally, I decided to purchase an ereader just to get bigger reading area and less distractions which I normally get from phone.I decided on Kobo because sideloading of ebooks in various formats is super easy. Also it's exactly the right size. I have pretty small hands but even I can handle it pretty well.Plus points:1. It's really light-weight.2. No distraction.3. Easy sideloading of various formats of ebooks possible.4. Simple UI.5. Battery life is decent. It lasts me more than a week or so if I read 5 hours daily.6. It's amazing in bright sunlight. The texts are crisp and highly visible.7. It's perfectly pocket-sized. So I would say it's travel-friendly (please use a case tho peeps).'Somewhat' Negative points-1. It's plastic overall and thus slippery. Cover/case is a must need.2. Ghosting is a problem but that's the case with every other eink reader. But it's not a huge deal. It ultimately gives the feeling of paper where you can see both side's printed text.3. Browsing internet is just bad. So basically you can only think of simple tasks like pushing a button and praying you don't have to scroll a webpage, because that experience is not made for an ereader.4. I tried listening to an audiobook but kobo is moody most times and does not connect with bluetooth earphones easily. I would not use kobo for audiobook functionality.5. Touch sensing is slow as you can see in the video.Negatives aren't much of a hassle for me and thankfully I'm not regretting switching from phone (which is faster and has better audiobook functionality) to an ereader as I wanted something only to read. So yeah, go for it!

I've used my Clara 2E for about a year and a couple of months now and it is also my first eReader. It's simple to upload files on it and use it in offline mode, as I am not a big fan of connecting to wifi all the time. The batery lasts long and had no performance issues so far.The reading experience is also great, the refresh of the screen particular to eink is also fine with me. Regardless of indoors or outdoors, the screen size, brightness and weight is perfect. I also read in the bathtub sometimes since it's waterproof.I recommend this to everyone, it's a lovey portable device. I wouldn't consider upgrading to a color version or Libra for now, since they seem a lot heavier or too much for my needs compared to the price accessibility. I think this is the best product.
