Preparing for Pregnancy
- Fertility issues are not just a woman’s responsibility. They are a shared responsibility for both partners.
- Around 40% of fertility issues in couples are related to male factors. Men’s s perm health plays an essential role in the journey to conception.
- That's why it's important for both partners to be proactive in understanding and supporting each other’s fertility.
What is SP10 Protein?
- SP10 Protein in S perm – Found on the s perm's acrosome, this protein is an essential enzyme involved in the fertilization process.
- When s perm swim – It promotes the release of kinins in the reproductive tract, enhancing s perm vitality and motility.
- When encountering the egg – It helps the s perm penetrate the cumulus oophorus and zona pellucida, facilitating the fusion of s perm and egg.

Research Shows:
- The concentration of SP10 protein is linearly correlated with s perm concentration.
- SP10 protein testing can be used as an indicator for s perm concentration.
- When s perm concentration exceeds 15 million/ml, it indicates that s perm count is within normal range, meaning you can proceed with confidence in your fertility journey. (Data Source: WHO)
Test Procedure
- Before collecting your semen sample, wait at least 48 hours, but no more than seven (7) days after your last e jaculation.
- Use manual stimulation (masturbation) to obtain your semen sample.
- Do not use any lubricants or lotions.
- Do not use a condom to collect the sample as this may interfere with the test result.
Above 15 million s perm per milliliter (15×10⁶/ml) of semen is the accepted standard for normal s perm count from WHO.

Test Results:
✓ POSITIVE – Indicates s perm concentration >15 million/ml, meaning normal semen count.
- You can proceed with confidence during the conception process.
✘ NEGATIVE – Indicates s perm concentration <15 million/ml, suggesting possible oligos permia (low s perm count).
- For negative results, it's recommended to retest after more than 7 days but no longer than 21 days. If the result is still negative, consulting a doctor for further evaluation is advised.
