Absolutely love this you can’t see where it’s pointing even at night time the tint is great really impressed wanted something that no one can see where it’s pointed. Quality is good for what it costs. Must say I’ve had cheaper brands which don’t load up as consistently as this one does every time I click it opens up very little lag I have iPhone 11 Pro Max and works brilliantly. Would highly recommend. Also when you look back through events it’s easy to see things and that side works well too.

I've been through a few cameras of varying price and quality, and the SVC3 range seem to hit that sweet spot between price and quality nicely. The construction of this is hefty with a metal mounting plate (hint: do you do need to use screws that fit in the countersunk holes if the ones supplied are too short), not the lightweight plastic you see on other cameras.5MP picture is crystal clear, and manages to keep full colour even at night (albeit there is a streetlight outside, which other cameras needed to switch into B&W mode for).Being ONVIF compliant, this works like a dream with Blue Iris and other similar DVRs; pan/tilt speed is fine, although the zoom is digital only, not optical.

I have a 4mp PTZ camera from a different maker for almost the same price and it has a much clearer picture than this supposed 5mp camera, the bitrate on this one is limited so the picture is not very sharp and the night vision is worthless, you can’t read a number plate or make out a face.The tracking works ok and the day time pic is probably fine for checking movement over a large area, but it is worthless for identification.There is no way to disable the infrared led’s after dark, even if it’s pointing at a floodlit yard so it’s draws more power and the led’s reflect off nearby objects blowing out large areas of the picture.It also doesn’t work well with my onvif NVR, when you open the stream it takes 10-15 seconds to show the picture but my 4mp ptz shows up instantly.Recording is sporadic and it often does not record anything at all.All things considered I would not recommend this camera at this price point, IMHO it’s a 40 quid camera at best and is no use for evidence gathering, spend the extra tenner and get a proper ptz with a clearer picture that records all movement and won’t let you down, this one is a joke.

Replaced older dome camera with this and oh boy what a waste of money. The camera gives reasonable picture quality, but the motion detection is really poor. The cam tracks too slow so if and when it finally pickes up a target, it's soon lost as the camera takes forever to realise what its supposed to be doing.Contacted the seller to trouble shoot these issues and after a few messages gave up communication. They claim that the fogging is down to outside temperature and camera is mounted to high for tracking to work properly, is 15ft really to high?About as helpful as chocolate oven!

Fazit vorab: ich bin wieder einmal sehr zufrieden! Wer eine Kamera hat, kennt es: es bleibt nicht bei einer. Ich habe schon ein paar SV3C Kameras in Gebrauch und auch im Freundes- und Bekanntenkreis habe ich je nach Bedarf und Anwendungszweck Modelledes Herstellers erfolgreich empfohlen und teils auch eingerichtet.Da ich jetzt eine Domekamera zu einem vernünftigen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis benötigte, fiel die Wahl auf die SV3C PTZ. Die Punkte 2Wege-Audio, Bewegungserkennung + Trakking und ein gewisser Schutz für den Außenbereich (IP66) waren mir wichtig und bisher wurden meine Erwartungen auch in allen anderen Punkten voll erfüllt. Ein paar Einzelheiten habe ich in der folgenden Beschreibung aufgeführt und in Bild/Video festgehalten. Die Funktionen und die meisten technischen Daten sind ja im Angebot aufgeführt. Ein paar Infos habe ich hier ergänzt. Die Kamera lässt sich übrigens auch ganz einfach auf einen Tisch oder eine Fensterbank legen und kann so auch ohne bohren verwendet werden (die angezeigten Bilder stehen dann zwar Kopf, aber so kann die Kamera spontan an verschiedenen Plätzen eingesetzt werden)Die Lieferung erfolgte wie gewohnt schnell über Bolo Prime. Die Kamera ist in der Geräteverpackung gut geschützt, so dass der Versand ohne weitere Umverpackung erfolgte. Bei der SV3C PTZ Domekamera ist wie gewohnt alles notwendige im Lieferumfang enthalten. Bei den Dübeln und Schrauben sollte man wie immer selber entscheiden, ob man da hochwertigere Bauteile verwendet. Einen kleinen Schraubenzieher benötigt man, um die SD Karte einzusetzen. Der war nicht mit dabei, gehört aber sowieso in jeden Haushalt, genau wie Werkzeug für die Deckenmontage.Der Anschluss an das Stromnetz erfolg total einfach über einen Stecker. Die Montage an der Zimmerdecke ist Dank Bohrschablone ebenfalls easy. Der Montagefuß ist übrigens aus Metall und wirkt sehr stabil. Der Montageort kann wegen des 3 Meter langen und 2x2mm dünnen Doppelkabels recht flexibel gewählt werden. An der Kamera selber ist ein 50cm langes und 5mm dickes Anschlusskabel montiert, das zwei Stecker für LAN und Strom bietet. Im dritten „Stecker“ verbirgt sich der Resetknopf.Die Einbindung in das bestehende WLAN und das Hinzufügen zur CamHiPro App verlief reibungslos, u.a. auch, weil mir das Prozedere und die App bekannt sind. Neu war mir nur die Statusanzeige im LAN-Kabel per farbiger LED.Im Betrieb lässt sich die SV3C Kamera wie gewohnt einfach bedienen. Ein Drücker auf die App und schon werden die eingebundenen Kameras inkl. Verbindungsstatus angezeigt.Ein Click auf die Kamera und schon hat man die wichtigsten Funktionen auf Wunsch im Vollformat auf dem Handy. Mit dem Finger auf dem Bildschirm lässt sich die Kamera in die gewünschte Richtung bewegen und man kann z.B. bestimmte Bereiche abfahren oder auch heranzoomen. Dies geschieht leise und schnell. Mit den angezeigtenButtons auf dem Bildschirm kann man Funktionen anwählen, wie z.B. die Gegensprechfunktion usw.Im Hauptmenü der App steht unter jeder Kamera ein Zahnrad als Symbol zu den weiteren Einstellungen. Hier finden sich u.a. die wichtigen Alarmeinstellungen wie Bewegungserkennung, Alarmbereich, was bei einem Alarm passieren soll usw. Unter den verschiedenen Punkten lässt sich eigentlich alles logisch an die eigenen Wünsche anpassen.Die Kamera hat ungefähr die Größe von Durchmesser: 13,5 cm und eine Höhe von ca. 11,5 cm.Die Antenne ist ca. 19,5 cm lang. An Gewicht bringt sie knappe 500Gramm auf die Waage.Eine SD-Karte ist nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten, was ich grundsätzlich begrüße, kann ich so doch sofort ein Modelle meiner Wahl einsetzen 🙂

Effective Camera and Phone app for security monitoring

Security cameras come in a lot of flavors, from the high end cameras with optical zoom and two axis scanning to the humble workhorse bullet camera with a fixed direction and only digital zoom. This camera falls in the middle of the pack - it scans, but zooms only digitally. Digital zoom is very smooth in this camera (see video).This camera also has a wide field of view so it is good for close range monitoring. While this means that perhaps the scanning is not as needed as in a zoomed up view, I plan to use this on my front door and it is nice to be able to look down as needed to see if I have a delivery on my porch. I also have a lamp at my front door, so I was worried about the interference from that light - but I could not see any difference during my testing by switching a nearby lamp on and off. (Tested in my backyard. One thing convenient about this dome camera is that it can stand upside down. One can flip the image upside up in software, and voila you have a baby cam!)This is added to my other SV3C cameras, which can all be viewed with the same HiCamPro software for the phone. This has notification, sharing, and access to many (really a lot) of customizable settings. A neat feature is the ability to make groups of 4 cameras which one can monitor on one screen (see picture), if one needs to monitor a different places at once. It is fairly easy to download videos stored on the SD card, if you want to save or send a copy. These features, for me, makes other paid software or cloud services unnecessary.I haven't had trouble with any of my other SV3C cameras which I use outdoors, so I expect this to be as reliable. The white body and the mounting ring are both aluminum. The SD card access cover has a robust gasket (see picture) so it is not surprising for this camera to have an IP66 rating for the camera. This rating means you can direct a fairly strong stream of water without ingress.I'm using a 64GB SD card, which will store a over a week of videos if I recorded continuously, but I record only intermittenly using AI triggers that indicate someone approaching. So set up properly, 64GB should be enough for months of storage. This is a nice addition to my security system.

Insbesondere die für mich neue Auslösung des Alarms durch "KI" habe ich immer noch nicht verstanden. Aber immerhin: insgesamt ist die APP doch sehr Übersichtlich und intuitiv.In Bezug auf die Verarbeitungsqualität macht die PTZ-Kamera von S3VC einen robusten und langlebigen Eindruck. Ich habe einige ebenfalls günstige SV3C-Kameras bereits seit einigen Jahren im Einsatz und ich gehe auch davon aus, dass diese ähnlich langlebig ist. Das Gehäuse besteht aus hochwertigem Kunststoff und Metall, was eine solide und langlebige Konstruktion gewährleistet.Insgesamt ist diese Kamera bei dem günstigen Preis eine klare Kaufempfehlung.

Gute Hardware, aber schlechte Soft-/Firmware und kein Service

Die Hardware macht einen soliden Eindruck. Auch die Inbetriebnahme und der zugehörigen App funktioniert einfach. Eine Koppelung mit Alexa ist nicht möglich. Auch der direkte Zugriff auf die IP Adresse ist nicht möglich, da das Default Passwort nicht funktioniert. Mehrmalige Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Service blieben leider unbeantwortet. Schade, aber leider geht die Kamera zurück :-(
