Sturdy, smooth and not difficult to assemble - except for the last bit, the hinge and stays at the back. It may have been just because I am elderly, but the pictures on the instructions seemed to me to not be very clear. Photos to show others how it goes together - in case anyone else has the same problem. I wanted it to display a picture but I can see that it could have a variety of uses.

A compact and light box with plenty of storage and reasonably well made. Ideal for the size of work I do. Can be readily adapted to suit personal requirements. For example, as others have pointed out the supplied dividers are absurdly shallow. This works for me as I will make a 40mm deep tray to sit on top to keep everything in the lower part in place and still have storage room for papers, boards, mixing palettes etc. on top, with tubes, water and brushes below. The vertical extension/frame clamp can be removed and stored if not required. I might add a shoulder strap too.

For the price I wasn't expecting much, I only wanted it to display a painting at an exhibition. I was pleasantly surprised though. It's made well enough and will do its job. It's too lightweight for a working easel but plenty good enough for what I want. Now I've seen and assembled it (good instructions and easy to put together BTW) I've ordered two more.

Really happy. Took about 50 mins to put together with a medium sizedphillips screwdriver and in end I used the product photos to work some of it out. I am not the best at putting stuff together but did this. Easy to screw and fix. All components present. Feels pretty sturdy and fit for purpose. Would definitely recommend!

So glad I finally got one of these. I love that I can sit on the couch or in the grass or almost anywhere and have this on my lap to draw/paint on. Great for storage of my watercolors and some other bits too. Nice quality, definitely recommend.
