I must admit to not using them solely as bate, I use them as bate stoppers on my hair rigs. My eye sight isn’t what it used to be and struggle with conventional stoppers. These maggots fit nicely in the hair loop and you can pull down tight. Makes for an attractive looking feed on the end of a rig. Can’t say for sure my bite rate has increased but it hasn’t decreased so it’s a win win for me.
