I don't usually leave reviews but when I product is expensive the reviews are so valuable in making a good judgment in perchase.I bought this item @ 10weeks ago. My skin is very tanned from the summer, I had hair on my chin and upper lip that were becoming thicker and blacker, I was getting ingrowing hairs which caused lumps and bumps on my skin. I was having to pluck every day and could still feel the roughness at the end of the day.After using this product for the past 10weeks I have had no ingrowing hairs, hairs are much less and finer, my chin is smooth - I noticed a difference almost straight away - and this is with a good tan! The product works better on pale skin.I've also been using on my legs, arm pits, and pub area but not as consistently - good results here too. It's easy to use would definitely recommend

I have tan to caramel skin and this ipl device works. Settings are really easy to understand, device itself isn't too painful depending on the intensity and the rest is straight forward.Note-the device will not work on discoloured areas if they're too dark.

This has worked really well quite quickly. I have seen an initial reduction of hair by maybe 50% and slower growth. My complexion is fair and dark hair and have used this for more delicate areas by lowering the intensity of the pulsed light. This is where it takes longer to see permanent/semi-permanent results. The rest of the body, legs and underarms is virtually hair-free after a couple of years of use. It is easy to use and weighs nothing, so you can take it with you while traveling. Smooth skin all over

I’ve been using this IPL machine for almost a year and it has made a big difference on my legs. I find it works best on thin darkish hairs but not on any coarse hair even though I am quite pale.

I bought the earlier model of this device and I was completely hair free (bar a few stragglers) after about 8-10 treatments. I am still hair free after ten years. This device definitely worked for me and it still flashes. I advised my daughter to buy this model which is slightly smaller and with a few minor improvements over the original. I noticed a difference after the third treatment with hair free patches appearing. When I say hair free, I mean that there is no longer any hair shaft in the follicles. The hair fell out and never regrew. So no dark stubble, just clear skin. It does sting a little especially on denser, darker hair but you know that’s because it is absorbing more heat and therefore will be more successful! I am probably the ideal type for this appliance though, with paler skin and very dark hair. Maybe that’s the reason it was so successful for me. Worth every penny!

I would normally have to shave my legs and underarms every other day for a smooth finish. Not anymore. I can go up to 10 - 14 days without the regrowth on my legs bothering me. Underarm hairs are not really there anymore. Not really painful, more uncomfortable from the heat in my opinion. Have used on legs, underarms and bikini area. Be consistent. Expensive, but worth it.

My husband got me this as a present and it was something I was really looking forward to get. After reading all the reviews I chose this model pro 5 pl 5137 specifically as it is supposed to be for permanent hair removal comparing to some other products that would only say reducing the hair growing and slowing it down up to 6 months. So after a long research I decided on this one as I also have some other Braun products for years and years that I am very satisfied with. I read so many good reviews about it and was really hoping it will work for me too. I used it for the first 12 weeks ones a week and then few more times and I am really disappointed with the results or better to say NO results!! I do understand that the product is working differently on different people but I really did not expect this. I have very light skin and medium brown hair and on some areas even dark brown ( bikini,underarm) . I definitely used it correctly as I am also a certified cosmetologist. My hairs didn’t change at all! When I started I thought if I just get rid of the 50 % it would be the result but at the end I have the same amount of hairs and they grow the same speed as before so nothing changed! And in fact on my chin(where I was hoping to get the results the most) I even have more hairs then before and they are even stronger and thicker!! All in all it did not work on me at all and I don’t recommend this product! I feel sorry for poor husband that paid all that money for it for nothing and the worst thing is as it’s past the 100 days guarantee ( as I kept hoping it will eventually give results) I can’t get my money back...what a waste!
