I got this for my daughter-in-law as she is looking for play/sport items for her infant's class, as I think she can use these.The eggs and spoons are of plastic and not heavy and the spoons are deep enough so the eggs will stay in the spoon when you place it in one.The Bean Bags are made from some type of fabric, but cannot say what is in them, of course. I include a photo of the edge of the bags folded in the box.The story book is the cover of the box, but it is fitted in well, so I cannot take it out to share with you, that is what the photo with the green line is, the bottom of the book.The bags appear to be made of that fabric that is used for tote bags, you often are given when you buy something and it has the name of the shop/stall on it. So thin, but usually these are quite strong.I admit I have not unsealed any of the packets, but felt everything through the plastic and for the price, I think it is a good value. I think this would be great for children at home from as soon as they stop putting everything in their mouth, so from around age 2, as the plastic eggs would be a danger for a younger child if they put one in their mouth.If you have a few young children or your child has a friend over, you could set up a sports day at home indoors or out. Fun and exercise all in one.

I absolutely love the concept of this sports day kit.You get a story book about Max and Ivy's sports day to read to your kids and then a pack of sports day equipment for them to re-enact or see if they can do any better than the characters in the book.You get 4 X egg and spoon, bean bags and sacks and 2 X leg straps so perfect for 4 players. It's a really cute set for early years schools as well and some fun and entertainment for the kids in the summer.The products are very light weight though, the eggs are very light, the bean bags are small and rectangular and don't have that much beans in them to give them that substantial weight of a normal bean bag and the sacks are like raincoat material and nowhere near big enough for an adult. I'm 5"2 and these sacks reach my knees so the "family fun" part is limited as parents or even older kids couldn't do a sack race with the younger ones. It's more for a just a group of little ones to play with. Would make a good gift for a family with 2+ young children. I really like how they've tied in the story and the games.

This Max and Ivy Story Book and Sports Day Kit comes nicely presented in a colourful branded box, so ideal for gifting. The box is rather larger than the contents which is rather wasteful. The book is held in place behind the lid. It is colourful, nicely illustrated and themed around the contents. The four sacks are made from a slippery nylon type material and are plenty big enough for children to hop in. The bean bags are 95% filled with lightweight stuffing, and only a few 'beans' at one end for a bit of weight - they certainly won't get thrown far or cause injury. The spoons are chunky and made from hard plastic, same as the egg. Priced £18.99 at the time of this review - good idea, lots of plastic and nylon, cheap materials

Great little set for 4 kids to use at a time - if you have more can be used relay style! Semi reasonable quality adult can fit in the sack (just have to bend a bot to hold it while jumping!) Comes with a book too which is cute. Makes a lovely gift and great prep for school sports day. Reasonable value for money and would suit from2/3 upwards in the age range.

The sports day set was a huge hit with an overexcited three year old!Yes, the whole family had to join in and there was shrieking and laughter!Highly recommended for getting rid of excess energy.

I picked up the Max and Ivy Enjoy Sports Day set for my six-year-old daughter to help her prepare for her upcoming school sports day and it’s been a big hit.The kit is thoughtfully put together and attractively presented, which instantly grabbed her attention. It includes a lovely storybook that was great for starting conversations about sports day and easing any nerves. The set also comes with a variety of classic activity props, egg and spoon toys, bean bags, jumping sacks, and leg straps, everything needed for a mini sports day at home and in vibrant colours.While the materials aren’t premium quality, they’re perfectly fine for casual, fun play. For us, the goal was simply to get her engaged and excited, and the set absolutely delivered on that front.It’s a fun, creative way to build confidence and enthusiasm before the big day. Highly recommended for other families looking to do the same.

What a great idea - sports day activities for four children all in one box. It includes sacks for a sack race, bean bags, an "eggs" and spoons and straps for the two-legged race. There is also an attractive story book for when the physical activities are over.This set looks really good and will be used this coming weekend during a family camping trip. There will be children there between two and six years old so it will get plenty of use.Good value.

The concept behind this set is lovely, combining active play with an educational story, and it includes a nice variety of games like bean bag toss, egg and spoon race, and sack race.However, I was a bit disappointed with the overall quality of the items. The materials feel quite flimsy and don’t seem built to last, especially for outdoor use with energetic children. Given the price, I expected something a bit sturdier and more durable.A fun idea and enjoyable for a few play sessions, but the quality doesn’t quite justify the cost.
